We're planning an starting to do interviews for our blog, so I was thinking a lavalier clip-on microphone might be a good idea. I decided to try MLVOC Lavalier Lapel Microphone Clip-on Omnidirectional for Apple iPhone iPad iPod Touch Smartphone Color Black

The microphone came nicely packaged with a pouch & foam mic cover for it. The length is a good size. You can be far enough away from the phone without any problems. The mic didn't come with any instructions, which is frustrating, especially when I run across problems like I did. The mic is meant to hook into your earphone jack, and does not work if you try it with a microphone input. My problem is I had to try 3 different phones before I found one it worked with. The description says it will work with most smartphones. With my RazrM phone, it made a clicking sound & the mic didn't work. With the other Motorola Android phone we have it didn't work at all. No sound. I finally got it to work like it should with the Nokia Windows phone. The sound was crisp & clear, and it will work for what we intend it for.

This review is for the Vtin 2 in 1 Clip-on Fish Eye, Marco Lens Kit. According to the lens itself, this is a 37mm .42x macro lens.

I've tried a number of different phone lenses, and I have to say this was absolutely the best I have used. It is a real lens. Not one of those cheap ones they usually sell to clip onto phones. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box & saw this. Definitely a higher quality than I expected, and not the lower quality lenses I've become used to. This has got some heft to it. It's not a cheap casing with thin glass.

The lens comes all together in the box, with two lens caps. The clip screws on, and there is a small fabric carrying bag included. The lens comes unscrewed to be two pieces. When I first took this out of the box, I thought for sure it would be to heavy & awkward to work with, but it was just fine. For once I was able to take a close-up shot that looked good! The other couple ones I've tried, I thought it was me. Or my phone. I mean, I know my phone is crappy, and takes crappy pictures, but I was actually able to get a nice macro on this. Yay!

I'm in no way a professional photographer, but I do take a lot of photos for my blog. I needed to be able to get some close-ups of products, flowers, & animal features. This seems of good quality. I don't really like the 'fish-eye' look, but it's nice to have to get a wider angle if I want. As soon as I get a newer phone, I'll be using it a lot more for photos instead of my bulky real camera thanks to this.

I am very pleased with this lens. If you're looking for a lens for your phone and this is in your price range, definitely consider this one.

Compatibility:  Most cell phones whose lens are not bigger than 0.51in/ 13mm in diameter.

Fish Eye Lens
See the world of fish-eye from the viewing angle of 180 degree.
To use fish eye lens, you must leave the two lens screwed. The fish eye can also you offer you 0.42X wide angle of image circle.

10X Macro Lens
Macro lens is to take more extremely tiny objects in detail.
To use macro lens, you need to unscrew the two lens and use it separately. Please keep the lens away from the object within 1.57-1.97in when using.

HD Optical Glass
Adopted high quality optical lens, the light transmittance improves a lot to help you take more beautiful pictures.

Soft Rubber Clamp
The clamp is padded with soft rubber, which work with most cell phones whose lens are within 0.51in/ 13mm in diameter. That is the distance between the lens and one of the edge of the phone is within 2.5cm.

Notes:
1.The fish eye lens and the macro lens are screwed together when you receive them.
2.Make sure the lens is aligned with your phone camera before taking pics
3.Macro lens should be used within 4-5 cm from the object.
4.To use fish eye lens, you must leave the two lens screwed.
5.To use macro lens, you need to unscrew the two lens and use it separately.
