Blah.... That's How I Feel

It's not good, it's not bad, it's just blah.

I'm sure the impending weather has something to do with it.  Yesterday it was 73 degrees.  Today it's icky.  Supposed to drop to 25 by this afternoon.  It just started either very lightly raining or snowing.  I can't tell.  This'll actually be the first snow of the season.  Usually we get snow in late Sept, or Oct.  It's been dry, but the warm weather has been awesome!!!

Hello?
We've been working really hard the last couple days preparing for icky weather. I finally got all the Halloween stuff put back in the garage.  Now, I didn't say 'packed' up because I just don't have the energy.  But it's not strewn across the driveway and in front of the garage anymore.  I'm sure that makes my neighbors happy.  We also picked up the messy garage.  You can park a car in there now! The place gets so messy before Halloween because of all my prop building.

We cleaned the front gutters, and where we had taken down the back gutters, but haven't put them back up yet, I had to run plastic along the back doors so the rain doesn't come in and ruin the new carpet.  All the buckets for the animals are filled up because it's supposed to get down to 17 tonight and tomorrow morning, and the hydrants won't be working, and no way will we be able to use the hose.  Boy, I do not look forward to carrying buckets from the house again.  Winter sucks.

This is only a small portion of the turks.
We also finally got the pool taken down & stored.  That thing has been a terror for me.  We just couldn't get the frame apart.  You're supposed to be able to just pull it apart.  We couldn't.  It's been sitting out on the lawn, and eyesore, for weeks.  Yesterday I finally figured out why!  The liner had fused itself to the metal frame.  So, when we went to pull the frame apart, the liner had no play in it, and it wouldn't come apart.  So me and the boy painstakingly got the liner unglued from the frame.  Then, it was easy-peasy.  The dew underneath the pool made a nice terrarium, so we have the circle patch of bright green in the middle of the brown, dead lawn.  It's pretty funny.  The turkeys are lovin' it though!

The turkeys have been around again.  I love them.  They usually go somewhere else during the summer, but come around here during the winter.  Their barking is really cool.  They were 'talking' to my turkeys for a while.  There were so many groups here at once today I dare say there was close to 100 wild turkeys.  They usually run in groups of about 20, but sometimes two or more groups will walk together for a while, then split up again.

I brought out the Bonez Brotherz today.  I've missed them.  They are so much fun.  I hope I can keep up with photographing their antics!

Until tomorrow....
