Focusing

You'll have to forgive me. I'm still trying to organize my world, including my mind.  My blog and social media has been ignored for the last couple days.  My bad. 

Of course yesterday I had to take my daughter to the city for her dental checkup.  That drive is about an hour and 15 minutes one way.  Since I was already in the city, I had to go after Halloween clearance shopping.  Had to!  I was planning on being back about 2, but of course my daughter got distracted by clothes, and um.... we got home at 6:30.    Anytime I go into the city, I come home fighting a migraine.  It sucks.  So, short story long, yesterday was shot. 

But yesterday I had a great shopping day!  I'm a clearance shopper.  After the dentist I stopped at King Soopers (Kroger) to see if they had any rolls or other bakery items in their day-old clearance section.  I found pasta sauce for .49 ea, macaroni for .29 ea, and bottle of balsamic vinegar for .39.  Oh yeah, I cleared them out.  LOL  Well, me & the other lady there.  We went to 2 Walmarts and 3 Targets, and got a bunch of 75% off Halloween stuff.  I didn't think they'd have anything left so late in the week, but they did!  I got a bunch of stuff for next year's community party, a bit of candy, and even one of those dancing skeletons.  I found this really cool clown mask, but It had been recalled and I couldn't buy it.  We figure it's because of the clown crap that's been going on.  I was really disappointed.  But I did get a wolf mask for a yard prop I am going to do next year.  I didn't really go any place else.  Was gonna hit Walgreen's, but forgot.  Since it's so taxing driving to the city & home, my head gets so.... frazzled when I'm out, and I feel discombobulated.  I did get my city splurge of a Mocha Iced Coffee at Dunkin' Donuts though.  Mmmmmm...

The day before.... I did other stuff, like cleaned up the house, redid and organized my entire closet, & my son and I worked outside since it was nice and warm.  Finally picked up all the crap that built up in the front of the house.  Now I just have to do the rest of the property before the snow comes in.  The pool is still laying on the ground, the tents & hammocks need to be cleaned and put away, and the Halloween prop building stuff....  Oy.  That's a mess in my driveway.  Have to get all that organized and put away.  It's just hard to do when your back hurts all. The. Time.

Although I'm planning on taking the outdoor Halloween decorations down later today, right now, my back is shot so my morning and most of the day I'll be focusing on the blog, social media, and making lists.  Lists.  Lots and lots of lists.

I have so many things to do, and that I want to do, that it's like a big tangle of Christmas lights.  Right now my main goal is to prioritize and focus. That's right focus.  Since I have soooo many things up here in my brain, and I can't defrag it like a computer, I'm learning how to focus.  One goal at a time.  This is where lists come in.  I have to write everything down that I need and want to do, and figure out the priorities.  It's not a quick process, but I'm working on it.  I figure by the end of the month, I should have my whole life prioritized, and I can continue to focus on the one thing that I have to do now, before other things.

It's funny, I used to be this anal retentive, OCD, organizational freak.  I mean, at one point I worked where I taught other people how to organize their lives.  And now I'm one of them.  LOL  So, I have to dig deep into the recesses of my mind and teach myself, like I taught them, how to organize their life.  I can do this.  Now that I'm focused on it. *smile*
