Hippie Hobby September 2016 & Coupon

Hippie Hobby is one of my favorite subscription boxes.  Seriously!  I love 'em.  Not only do you get a new craft project to do, but it's up-cycled, recycled or natural!

The bi-monthly boxes are curated carefully, and their presentation is beautiful.  We honestly look forward to these boxes every other month.

Unfortunately something happened to a bunch of my reviews, and my last two Hippie Hobby box reviews disappeared.  But don't fret!  I will re-do them, and get them up as soon as possible!  Why? Because I think when you see the types of projects you can make with Hippie Hobby, you'll have to try it yourself!

The month of September is DIY Melt & Pour Soap.

Included in this box:
  • 6oz Goats Milk Soap Base
  • 1/4 tsp Organic Matcha
  • 2 Tbsp Lavendar Flowers
  • 2 Tbs Rolled Oats
  • 1 Sugar Packet
  • 5/8 Dram Peppermint Essential Oil
  • 1/4 Dram Sunflower Oil
  • 3 Mini-Loaf Pans
  • 3 Wodden Craft Sticks
They've included everything you need to make three soap bars, except for a few household items, such as a bowl, spoon, and hot pad.

Hippie Hobby has made it easy to get your feet wet with making soap.  They have included a package of goat's milk soap base.  Let me tell you from experience... goat's milk soap is the best!  It makes your skin so soft.  So I was very happy to see this in the box.

You get the ingredients to make different three bars:
Green Tea Peppermint Sugar Soap
Peppermint Oatmeal Soap
Lavender Peppermint Soap

The soaps are made in mini-loaf pans.  Easy.  Plus they can be upcycled in the Bonus Craft included!

The craft is simple.  Melt the soap in the microwave, add the extra ingredients, pour into the pans, and wait about 30 minutes.  And, ta-da!  Three, 2oz bars of soap that you made yourself.  They have clear-cut, easy to follow instructions that even have pictures.  Also included is a little booklet that explains the benefits of each of the add-in ingredients.

If you like DIY crafts, but don't want to purchase a whole bunch of supplies not knowing if you'll like doing the craft, Hippie Hobby is perfect for you.  You get everything you need to make a new project.  Nothing else to buy.  And if you like the craft, then you have a bit of experience and knowledge to move on from there.

Hippie Hobby subscription box is sent out every two months. Shipping dates are: • September 15th • November 15th • January 15th • March 15th • May 15th • July 15th
