With this unit, we've got a am/fm/weather radio. It has a pull-out antenna. I was able to get signal for all bands. It has both a speaker and an earphone jack. You can charge the unit 3 ways. There is a DC input A micro USB to USB cable is included, but it does not include an actual DC power plug. You can also charge it by hand crank, and solar power. My unit came charged with 3 bars. It has a charge indicator on the display screen. I put it out in the sun for 3 hours, and it didn't go up a bar. I plugged it into a USB port, and the red light blinks letting you know it's charging. When you use the hand crank, the red light is steady. The display also tells you your volume (it has volume buttons), and your station. There is also a little light to light up your display momentarily.

The flashlight itself is bright, but not as bright as I had hoped. It also only has one mode. No strobe or anything. You can use the unit to charge your phone for emergency use.

The unit also came with a paracord survival bracelet. The bracelet includes a compass, a fire starter, and whistle. The bracelet becomes 11-ft rope when unbraided. The compass seems to work as intended. It's a bit bulky, but not as bad as some others I've tried. I'd probably hook this on my pack though, instead of my wrist.

I really love this radio. There's just a couple things that didn't overly impress me. Though I still would definitely recommend this.

In the event that you have to "hunker down" for the night, a magnesium fire starter is also contained in the clasp. You will be able to stay warm or let search-and-rescue helicopters identify your location. IPX3 Water resistance.
