So, I'm going to say up front, that I know nothing about dental tools & their quality. When I'm at the dentist, I'm not playing with the tools, the hygienist is using them on my teeth. I got this kit for a number of reasons. The main one, being the mirror. I am forever needing a mirror to look in one of the kid's mouths (or the husband's). I've wanted a dental mirror for quite a while. Also, the picks are good for in between dental visits. Touch ups, or if you get a dreaded piece of popcorn kernel stuck under your gum that floss or a toothpick just can't get out. The rest are for my dog. No, I won't be interchanging them. My dog has really bad teeth. Brushing alone isn't helping, chew toys & bones don't work, and I can't keep forking out $400 to get her teeth cleaned. This will help scrape the tarter & under her gums to keep them healthy.

The set itself is very nice. It contains 7 tools, 3 of them are double sided. You get 2 Dental Picks, Dental anti-fog mouth Mirror, Jacquette Scaler, Tartar Scraper, Burnisher, and a Sickle Scaler. The set comes with a nice zippered carrying case for storage. The handles of the tools are textured so they don't slip in your fingers (ouch). The tools themselves seem well made. Pointy and smooth, without burrs. They each have their own place in the case, so it's not a jumbled mess.

Overall, I am very pleased with these dental instruments. Who knew you could be excited over sharp pointy objects in your mouth!
