I love drinking matcha, and this is a great Organic Japanese Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea Powder. Being ceremonial grade, this is for drinking, and not for cooking with or smoothies.... although you *can* use it for that. This matcha is smooth, and not bitter when hot. 1/2 tsp was perfect for a huge cup of tea. It's quite strong, even for a ceremonial grade.

The tin came with a pull-tab seal, and has a screw lid for freshness. The powder is ground very fine, and has a wonderfully sweet green tea aroma. The color is an amazing green. This tea powder actually get a bit bitter as it cools. But as long as I add a tad bit of hot water now & then, I can sit & sip my tea for an hour, which is what I like to do. I like the fact that this is organic, and from Japan. When using matcha, you need to place a little hot water in your cup with the matcha & whip with a wisk until dissolved. Then add the rest of your water. Otherwise, the powder may not dissolve & you'll get powder on the bottom of your cup, and a weaker tea. The tin didn't come with adequate instructions.

Overall, a very yummy matcha tea.
