A hydrometer was the last item that I needed for my home brewing & wine making supplies. I had thought about going without, but I really wanted to be able to test the specific gravity, brix, and alcohol by volume of my craft. So I tried the Triple Scale Hydrometer for Home Brewing, Craft Beer, Wine, and Cider by HomeCraft Brew.

The hydrometer came beautifully packaged in a hard plastic case. Great for storing it in to prevent breakage. The ones I've seen in the brew shop didn't have this. I'm glad I got this one instead because things around here get bumped & dropped a lot. The item is easy to read with color coded levels. It has weight & buoyancy to it to float in your liquid without accidentally sinking to the bottom & getting lost in your jug. The hydrometer includes an easy to follow instructional sheet which I found helpful as a first-time wine, cider, & beer maker. Now, is it accurate? Well, since this is the only hydrometer I have, I cannot compare the readings to another, and be sure it's honestly accurate. However, this would be true with any you buy.

Overall, I'm very pleased to add this this easy to read, well protected glass hydrometer to my brew supplies.
