Ohuhu Hair Straightener Brush, Instant Magic Silky Straight Hair Styling Detangling Hair Brush.

Personally, I haven't used a styling tool on my hair in.... ummm.... like 25-30 years ago. I'm a  brush & go natural kind of gal. But my daughter. *deep breath* She is a tween and at that point where she wants to look good. Stylish. Fashionable, etc. She has the most gorgeous, thick, wavy hair, but of course she hates it. She wants it straight like her best friend. So when I ran across this brush straightener, I thought it would be easier for her to use than a regular flat iron.

It is easy. But, just because it's called a brush, don't think you can use it to brush your hair. All tangles need to be brushed out first. The 'brush' helps the heat to get into more of the hair since you're only heating one side of the hair, unlike a clamping heat tool.  The design is simple to use for men and women. It's simple for her to brush through, and straighten her hair. It left her hair dry feeling, but we didn't use any thermal protectant beforehand when we tested it. He hair looked & felt quite soft. When you use a flat iron, you still have to brush your hair afterwards, or it looks & feels stiff. This product does it in one step.

First take time to thoroughly wash and dry hair, ensuring it is free from sweat, oils, and product. Plug brush into appropriate socket, clear from standing or running water. Press power button for three seconds until light appears. Set brush to desired temperature, brush temperatures ranges from 176 to 450\u2109. After 1 to 2 minutes, begin to brush hair with long continuous strok s beginning just above the scalp and continuing in a downward motion, taking care to not place brush directly on scalp or skin. Continue brushing motions until desired straightness is achieved. If hair maintains a curly disposition,  increase the brush temperature. When finished straightening, unplug brush allowing time to cool before storing in dry area.

The unit has a wall work with a reset (gfi) switch since it's primarily used in the bathroom around water. At first it was frustrating me, because the switch needed to be reset, and I didn't know. The unit wouldn't turn on. I finally figured it out, though. It has a lighted display when you turn it on. You can switch between celcius & farenheight. The directions weren't very helpful as they were obviously translated, but if you push teh + and - at the same time, I was able to change it form C to F. You can decide on the temp you want this to be at. Really hot for thick wavy hair, or a little cooler for thinner hair. You can change the temp in 1 degree increments.

Don't be mistaken the paddle gets HOT. You cannot hold the back of the brush onto your hair while using it. You'll burn your hand. The handle however, does not get hot & is comfortable to use. My problem is the buttons are on the handle right where my thumb sits, so I kept accidentally turning it off while using it.  I don't know if I just hold the brush funny, but I don't think they should be where you hold it for that reason.

Otherwise, I like this. I don't have any other products to compare it to, but for a first-timer, and for a tween, I think this is a nice, inexpensive hair straightener brush.
