This hydration pack is good for everyday walking & jogging, or for kids to wear while hiking. It's a nice lightweight pack, but well designed. We have some hydration daypacks, and they are a lot heavier than this. I would never think about wearing one of those on my daily walks. This, however would be perfect for those exceptionally hot days.

The pack is cut in a way to be light, yet be able to hold a 2l water bladder. The bladder slides in from the top and has a zipper closure. It stays up with a velcro hook that atatches to the bladder. The hose can be run through either the left or the right shoulder strap. The bladder itself is of a medium quality but it does have a switch on the mouthpiece so water doesn't accidentally drip on you. It has a small fill hole, and the hose is removable.

The pack has a zippered pocket that can hold a phone, or some snack bars. There are 2 large-sized elastic banded mesh pockets. These could hold water bottles, a towel, or a point & shoot camera. The strap isn't a chest strap, but more a waist strap. It's at the bottom of the pack and not on the shoulder straps.

The removable & attachable waist belt is a great idea. You can wear it so the pack is on the front or back, or alone. It's got one zippered pocket & is slightly padded. It'll hold your wallet, keys, or phone.

Overall a great pack, and Ive had no problems with it so far. I haven't owned it & used it enough to know the longevity.
