I've tried the plastic lids that look like shower caps before because I it gets so messy trying to stack lids with the containers. But they are hard to clean, and definitely aren't leak proof. I like these lids, but they don't really match the description. It says, "the stretch lids fit any shape of container that measures between 3'' and 10''." Yes and no. This is a set of gradual lids. The smallest one won't fit a container 10", but the largest one will, vise-verse. It also says, "....create an airtight seal for any container." Not any. Must be round, and not have handles. But otherwise, I tested these on my Pyrex bowls, and there was absolutely no leaking, even with vigorous shaking & continual holding the bowl sideways & upside down. I would feel confident to store soups with these.

The lids are dishwasher and freezer safe, microwavable, BPA-free and made with 100% food-safe materials. They feel pretty tough , and don't seem like they'd rip easily. They stretch quite a bit & have variegated ribs to fit over different size containers while keeping a seal. You definitely need two hands to stretch these over your container; it takes some effort. They have tabs for easy removal.

Overall, I like these, but the description is too vague. If you're planning on purchasing these, read all the reviews first to make sure it's what you want.
