Coffee. Coffee! Oh, I love me some coffee.

Coffee Crate is a monthly subscription box where you get sent 3 bags of coffee from different roasters in North Carolina. So, if you subscribed for 1 year, you would have tried 36  different coffees!

I opened this box and was immediately impressed. The presentation was outstanding. I know, it's simple, but it's not just some bags of coffee thrown into a box for shipping. Someone took their time to make this look nice. And it was appreciated. And let me tell you, the coffee smells wonderful!

The February box came with 3 4oz coffees:
  • Tanzanian Peaberry
  • Mexico Chiapas Majomut
  • Cameroon
Also inclosed was a pair of cookies from the Italian Cookie Lady.

In the box is an info card. It tells about each coffee, and the roastery it comes from.

The first coffee is Tanzanian Peaberry from Black Powder Roasting Co.

These come from the region of Mbeya, Tanzania. It is a medium light roast. It was wet processed and sun dried.

I really liked this coffee. I used my french press to make it, and it came out very nice. It is smooth with lime and bing cherries.

All coffees from Coffee Crate are roasted in the Carolinas and delivered to your door.

The second bag of coffee is Mexico Chiapas. It is Fair Trade Organic, and comes from the region of San Cristobal Mexico.

The municipalities of Chenalho and San Juan Cancuc, Majomut grow "Gourmet Prep' beans at an elevation of 1,000 to 1,700 meters above sea level.

The coffee is a light roast, mild scent, with bright citrus, carmel, and milk chocolate. It is wet processed and sun dried.

This coffee is from Espresso News and was roasted on Feb 11th.  I received this box on the 18th. Nice!

The last coffee is Cameroon from Shade Raised Organic.

This needs to be made into an air freshener for me, because I can't stop smelling the bag!

This is a medium dark roast with a hint of berries & milk chocolate. Slightly nutty ans carmelly smooth. This comes from the region of Cameroon and is wash processed. It is a blend of medium city roasts.

All subscription boxes are curated by Coffee Crate owner, Angie Rainey.

I really liked this box. I could see anyone who really loves the flavor of coffee enjoying this subscription. Such different flavors from different roasts.

Sometimes they throw in a treat in their boxes. This month I received a package of cookies from The Italian Cookie Lady. The cookies were buttery, but definitely tasted much better when the bite included the dipped chocolate.
