Fortune Cookie Soap 'The Soap Box' 2016 Spring Box Review

This is our second Soap Box from Fortune Cookie Soap. We've really liked them both so far. The Soap Box is a quarterly subscription box, centered around handcrafted, bath & body products.

FCS has a major product launch 4 times a year. The Soap Box, boxes ship out approx. 2 weeks prior to a launch, giving you a chance to try out the new fragrances and products, to discover what you like, before you commit to a full-size product.

This is a review on the Spring Box which shipped out Jan/Feb/Mar .

All subscription boxes include 8 exclusive FCS products in adorable mini-sizes. You also receive a $10 FCS gift code with each Soap Box, via email, that can be redeemed online. I like coupons!

For Soapboxes shipped to USA is $ 19.99 USD every 3 months.
For Soapboxes shipped to Canada is $ 33 USD every 3 months.
For Soapboxes shipped Internationally is $ 39 USD every 3 months.

I truly love the minis in these boxes. I like the idea of trying out products before buying full-size.

Let me start off my review by saying I'm reviewing the subscription box from an honest, normal consumer's opinion. I'm not reviewing the individual products in the box. I review the box so that you can decide if this is something you'd like to subscribe to. As for the products, if a product stands out, good or bad, I will make a separate mini review for that product/brand.

The Fortune Cookie Soap box smells soooooooo good! My daughter & I love digging into this box when it comes.

Enclosed is a very nice info card. It has website & social media links, along with descriptions of the products.

The Spring box contained 8 products:
  • Guardian of the Forest Fortune Cookie Soap
  • This Thing? OCD Hand Sanitizer
  • Disco Tree Whipped Cream
  • Unless Pedi-Bomb
  • Oh Hair Shampoo Bar
  • One C Cuticle Oil
  • Paradise Found Petal Perfume
  • In-Organic Shower Steamer
We'll start off with their trade-marked Fortune Cookie soap & Shower Steamer.

The soap is such a neat little design.. Soap in the shape of a fortune cookie. It isn't that big, but they say you'll get 50 hand-washings from it.  This is a flowery scent with a suitableness of lemons.

The shower steamer has a nice fragrance. An explosion of fresh squeezed lemons intertwined with hand picked parsley.

We used to use menthol shower steamers when we had colds, but they stopped selling them in the stores. I cant wait to try this! A wonderfully scented shower without being sick first.

Next is the Shampoo Bar & Pedi-Bomb.

The shampoo bar has a pleasant scent. Fresh peach nectar & shaved grapefruit, garnished with a sprig of thyme. I have actually never used a shampoo bar. This will be a first.

The pedi-bomb is....for your feet. You plop it into a warm foot bath & enjoy. This has a real nice scent. Earthy & just slightly flowery. I like!

Also in the box was a Cuticle Oil & Petal Perfume.

Cuticle oil is something we desperately need here in Colorado, especially in the winter with the extra dry air.

The oil is described as warm woods swirled with patchouli & topped with a dollop of creamy vanilla. I say it smells, well.... just like that. It smells like walking into a headshop. It feels nice without too slippery. Use this at night so it has time to soften & repair your cuticles.

The perfume roller bottle is a lovely little bottle. Freesia, rose, mangos, strawberries, tanka beans, & amber. I don't like commercial perfumes. This though, this I like.

Last is the Hand Sanitizer & Whipped Cream.

Personally, I don't use hand sanitizers, but my daughter loves them!  This is a moisturizing sanitizer with glycerine, aloe, & vitamins. A slightly orangey scent, with vanilla, lemon, & florals.

The whipped cream is lovely! I really like the scent, and it goes on so creamy.  Berries, lily of the valley, and sandlewood. My hand feels moisturized without sticky or greasy.

Although this is a subscription box, Fortune Cookie Soap is mostly an online store. The items in their subscription boxes are from  their product line. You get to try their new scents 2 weeks before they launch on the site.

If you like trying wonderfully scented bath & body products, you HAVE to get Fortune Cookie Soap's Soap Box subscription! These little minis are perfect for getting a taste for the product. And, they are great for travel, car, or your purse. It's on;y $20 every 3 months.
