1 box
2 breweries
3 of each flavor
4 different brews
.....Equals 12 craft beers!

Craft Beer Club is an awesome concept. Craft beer. Sent to your door. Every month! We were quite impressed with this subscription box.

Each month, Craft Beer Club highlights two breweries. Every selection is produced by small-production, independent brewers who use only traditional brewing ingredients and time-honored brewing methods.

The breweries featured this month are Real Ale Brewing Company, and Brewer's Alley. Also this month, Brewer's Alley's sister company, Monocacy.

They enclose these very awesome newsletters.

In the monthly newsletter, you'll read bout the story behind the beer, what's in it, and where it originated. Each newsletter tells a little about the brewery. Who & where they are, how they started, their mission, etc. They are very informative & full color. They are professionally printed on a nice thick glossy paper.

It's really nice to not just drink a craft beer, but to learn about the company who made them!

The newsletters also lists each  beer in your box. It also lists the ABV & IBU's as well.

On the back side of the newsletters, is a recipe that goes well with the type of beer enclosed. Also some trivia is included, which I though was a nice touch. Do YOU know who invented bottle caps? Well now I do. ;-)

It took me way too long to get this review up. The Army called away House-Wise's dedicated beer tester, so we had to wait.

The first beer we tried was Brewer's Alley's best-selling style, the Kolsch. It is a variant of the traditional German ales that originated in and around Cologne, Germany.

The Kolsch has a nice taste, though the aftertaste was a bit bitter. It is basically uncomplicated. We'd expect just a bit more from a craft beer. It is a pale gold color, with a delicate hop aroma. You can taste the malt, and a slight fruitiness. It was nice, just not a fave.

Next is Fireman's 4 Blonde Ale from Real Ale Brewing Company.

It is named as a tribute to good friends/bike makers at Fireman Texas Cruzer, and also because it was the fourth year-round brew created for the brewery.

It had a clean taste with no bitterness. It was our favorite of the four in the box. It is their best-selling beer to date, and we can see why.

A delicious balance of smooth malt and zesty hops makes this refreshing Blonde Ale perfect on a hot day or paired with spicy food.

The Brewer's Cut Helles is the second beer from Real Ale Breweries.

It is a light beer full of flavor. Although it is a Pale Lager, it was more reminiscent of an ale. Mr. SnuggleBunny actually thought it was an ale until I pointed it out.

Helles is a traditional German Pale Lager beer that is popular in Southern Germany, particularly in Munich.

German pilsner malt gives subtle malt sweetness while Hallertau Tradition hops provide the enticing aroma of this classic style with a dry finish & moderate bitterness.

The last craft beer in the box was Monocacy's H.L. Rex. An American Pale Ale.

This beer we felt was bitter, but went down easy. A really nice beer. It also had a hint of fruitiness.

The H.L. REX is named to honor the greatness of Humulus Lupulus, commonly known as 'hops'.

It finds a delightful balance as a session beer. It has an excellent hop experience in aroma & taste. Refreshing citrus, and light biscuity flavors are the perfect counter to the mild pine, grainy, and floral qualities.

All-in-all the Craft Beer monthly subscription box is a win! With all the different tastes, flavors, and breweries out there, Craft Beer Club is the best way to find different craft beers from across the country.

Craft Beer Club makes it easy. You can choose just one box, a monthly box, or as many months as you wish. You also have the option of receiving 12 or 24 beers a month. You can also send it as a gift! Now who wouldn't want beer as a gift?!

They ship both bottles & cans. It depends on the brewery. This month we happened to receive all bottles. You can opt-out of cans, or bottles. You'll just not receive shipments on the months those are featured.

If you sign up for 3 month, they throw in a free gift. A bottle opener! If you sign up for 6 months, they also pack 4 Craft Beer Tasting Glasses in with your first shipment. How cool is that?!

Now is the perfect time to treat yourself, your family and friends to hard-to-find, outstanding brews from some of the best Brewmasters in the country. If you like craft beer, try it out! You won't be sorry.
