Just Add Honey February 2016 Box Review

Just Add Honey has 3 subscription box types to choose from. Tea, Honey, and Tea & Honey. We're reviewing the Tea & Honey Box.

Tea. Honey. Tea and Honey. What's not to love?

The presentation of the package was very pretty, The orange tissue paper & paper crimps match their label, so it really gives a sense of fluidity. Everything was packed well, and arrived intact.

The February box contained 5 items:
  • Secret Garden Tea
  • Roses Everyday Tea
  • Lover's Leaf Tea
  • Wildflower Whipped Honey
  • Chocolate Covered Oreo
There wasn't one this in this box that wasn't delicious!

The box comes with an info card. It explains a bit about each product, a little trivia, ingredients, and where it came from. Nice.

The first product we tried was the Lover's Leaf Tea. This is an Orange Pekoe tea with medium caffeine.

I'll tell you right off I'm a naked tea drinker. Get your mind out of the gutter! I mean, I usually drink my tea naked, or plain. No sugar, cream, lemon, or honey. I like to taste the flavor of the tea, not the additives. If a tea needs a little sweetness, as in the case of this black tea, I'll use a little honey.

The tea had a mild flavor with just a touch of bitterness. It was delicious, but does need some sweetness. Honey of course. And guess what? There is some honey right here in the box! How about that?!

The honey comes from Stubbees Honey in Jacksonville, FL. The interesting story about this honey is the young man began selling this honey after asking for beehives for his 16th birthday. Cool!

The honey is light & flavorful. It's not too sweet, and doesn't have a powerful floral scent or taste. It's just right. It's very smooth. Not only have I tried it in my tea, but also on a biscuit, in a peanut butter sandwich, and on it's own as well. Yum. Good choice Just Add Honey!

The Chocolate Covered Oreo comes from Nancy's Candy co in Meadows of Dan, VA. It's one cookie & looks delectable. I'm not a fan of oreos or white chocolate *gasp*, so my hubby got this.

The next tea is Secret Garden. A light caffeine green tea.

Green tea is my favorite kind of tea. This has a lot in it and smells just wonderful.

Sencha green tea, rose buds, cardamom, ginger, licorice, fennel, lemongrass, saffron, and cinnamon make up this tea blend. It's a little bit floral, and a whole lot of spice!

Each month, Just Add Honey offers thoughtfully blended teas from small growers sourced around the world, organic ingredients, and full leaves.  You can see the full leaves & spices in the Secret Garden blend!

The teas you will experience in the subscription box are exclusive flavors not offered on the website.

The third tea in February's box is Roses Everyday. This is also a light caffeine green tea.

This tea blend contains Sencha green tea, rose petals, & cherry flavors. I haven't tried this tea yet, but my daughter loves the scent. I didn't even tell her what type it was before she opened it, and she knew it was roses.

Just Add Honey is not only a subscription box, but are a lifestyle tea boutique that offers artisan teas. They have an online store & a retail cafe in Atlanta, Georgia. Just Add Honey teas are also available in retail outlets across the country.
