Square Hue February 2016 Subscription Box Review

This is my second box from Square Hue. I like their boxes & polish. Their boxes are presented very nicely. Everything comes packaged to prevent breakage in shipping. Their formula is smooth & streak-free. It has good coverage & the color is true. The color does not chip nor wear easily.

If you sign up on their site, they will occasionally send you coupons good for one day, that are often  for 50% off your first box. I used one of those coupons & got this box for $10.50. That's a great price for 3 mystery, 7-free polishes. The polishes are designed & developed in miami, so they are made in the USA. They are vegan and cruelty-free.  I these the box of 3. They also have a box of just 2 polishes a month if 3 is too much.

Remember, this is a subscription-based service, so you are signing up for a box every month, but you can cancel anytime.

Each box comes with an info card for the month's theme. February's theme is The Adventure Collection. Bike Amsterdam.

The card talks a little about biking in general, and biking in Amsterdam.

The three polishes this month are:
  • Waterland District
  • Vondelpark
  • The Nieuwmarkt

Waterland District

Forgive my pictures. I had to resort to a cheap 100w bulb at night for this review.

The first polish is Waterland district. It's a sky blue high gloss creme.

Two coats gave my nails full coverage without a base.

I really like this color. But then again, I am partial to blues.

Vondelpark

The next color is Vondelpark. It's a deep, deep  purple high gloss creme. Again, two coats gave me full coverage without a base.

The Nieuwmarkt

The last color is red. The Nieuwmarkt isn't just a red though, it's a red shimmer. Red is probably one of my least favorite nail polish colors, and was slightly disappointed it was in this box, since I had also gotten a red in the last box I received from Square Hue, which is odd because they don't often send reds. But my daughter will get use out of it, so that's good.

On the back of the info card is a place for you to swatch the colors.  You can use this as a quick reference.

Square Hue works hard on their curation for their monthly boxes to fit a theme of the latest trends. The collections are created to tell a story.

Currently a portion of all monthly subscription proceeds are being donated for prevention awareness, the protection of trafficked victims and the prosecution of human traffickers.

If you love polish, you'll love Square Hue.
