Wild Zora: The Original Meat & Veggie Bar Product Review

Wild Zora began in 2013, by creating their own snacks as an alternative to the typical sugary, grain-filled snacks on the market. They started to mix and dehydrate 100% grass-fed beef from a local rancher along with fresh vegetables from their garden.

After the kids started sharing their beef and veggie snacks with their friends at school, they decided to take the advice of their friends, & market their  meat and veggie bars. I'm so glad they did!

Wild Zora bars are made with real food. Using 100% Grass-Fed Beef, raised on-pasture without antibiotics or added hormones, 100% Natural Lamb, raised on-pasture without antibiotics or added hormones, 100% Free-Range Turkey, raised on-pasture without antibiotics or added hormones, and only certified-organic veggies & fruits.

We received a milti-pack of Zora Bars. One of each of their 5 flavors. You can buy each flavor separately, but the multi-pack is more cost effective.

If you haven't tried them yet and have a favorite, the multi-pack gives you true tasting experience. You won't be disappointed!

Zora Bars come in the following flavors:
  • Chili Beef Bars with Kale, Apricot, Cayenne Pepper
  • Parmesan Beef Bars with Kale, Tomato, Basil
  • BBQ Beef Bars with Kale, Tomato, Red Bell Pepper
  • Curry Masala Turkey Bars with Spinach, Dates, Cardamom
  • Mediterranean Lamb Bars with Spinach & Turmeric
On their blog, they mentioned that later in the year they will be coming out with a couple new products. I can't wait!

These packages are 1oz, and come with 2 'bars'.  I honestly have a hard time associating these with the word 'bar'. Yes, they are bars. But, when I think of bars I think of granola bars & protein bars, individually wrapped. Not two large beef jerky-like strips in a package.

With that being said, we absolutely love this product. Especially my non-veggie eating 12-yr old  daughter! You heard that right, my tween loves these & begged me to get more. Zora, you have come up with a magic product for parents! LOL

My package came with a very nice info card. It has some product highlights, and in-depth information about the product, along with contact information for the company.

They make their bars their own USDA-certified commercial kitchen in Colorado, so they can promise their product is allergen-friendly. No nuts, soy, grain, gluten, or chemical additives.

OK, let me try to explain how these taste.....

When you take a bite of the bar, it honestly tastes like you are eating a forkful of  meat and veggies. Like you are sitting at the dinner table, and took a bite of your family dinner plate. My daughter agrees, but says she tastes rice too (although there are no grains in the bar). It is like eating a meal...in a bar. It's amazingly true to flavor. You can even see the real ingredients in these bars. It's not like eating a bar, it tastes real.

A couple of the flavors have a bit of a spice kick. Not enough to be 'hot', but you are aware it's there.

Since these bars don't need to be refrigerated until after they're opened, they are perfect for hiking, lunch boxes, summer camp, field trips, road trips, etc.. Theses can be substituted for anywhere that you'd normally have to break down and eat unhealthy filler-food.

My husband took one of these with him on a week-long trip. He had gotten snowed in, & couldn't get out to the PX on base. Luckily he had this healthy alternative to the chips & candy in the vending machine. His only complaint was that he said he was still burping on it a couple hours later. However, my daughter & I had no such problems.

Each of their products are different, but the majority are Whole30 and Paleo-certified, milk free or contain only rBST-free Parmesan Cheese, no MSG, no added sugar, and one that is even AIP (AutoImmune Protocol) compliant.

You can shop online at Wild Zora to purchase. They even have a subscription option so you never run out! It makes it easy to eat healthy consistently. Plus, all of their subscriptions include a 10% discount!

You can even find Wild Zora bars at 140 retail locations across the country. They have an online store finder. There are retail stores that carry Zora Bars in Colorado, Missouri, Illinois, Minnisota, Kentucky, and Indiana. Places like Whole Foods Market, Natural Grocers and coming soon to Lunds & Byerlys.

Verdict: If you are tired of the same ol' fruit & nut bars, the funky tasting protein bars, the salty, nitrate-filled jerky, and the other chemically driven meal replacements & snacks, try Wild Zora bars. Real food, for a real food taste!

The best part? A special coupon just for my viewers! Enter code house-wise for a 15% discount. But hurry, it expires March 4th. Happy eating!
