Protect Life First Aid Kit 115 Piece for Car, Home, Travel, Office or Sports

We reviewed 115 pc. First Aid Kit by Protect Life.

This is a lightweight & easy to carry kit. It's a good sized kit that has all the basic supplies, plus a few you don't often see in kits that are in this price range. The bag is made of a ripstop nylon, and is pretty nice. It's bright red so it's easy to find when you are in a hurry in an emergency. The items have expiration dates on them to help you know when you need to update your kit which is very important.

Protect Life First Aid Kit is specially designed so you can take it anywhere. It has pockets on the inside to hold all the supplies neatly. It comes pretty stuffed for the size, so you really can't add much else to it. This is a good kit for travel. I would want a more extensive kit for the home, or for a bug-out bag. For the car, boat, RV, or camping I think this is a good kit with a lot of 'above-basic' items.

The kit contains:
Antiseptic cleansing wipes (6 pcs)
Alcohol prep pad (10 pcs)
Butterfly closure strips (10 pcs)
Extra large adhesive bandage (4 pcs)
Adhesive bandage (25 pcs)
Knuckle adhesive bandage (4 pcs)
Fingertip adhesive bandage (8 pcs)
Gauze swab (3 pcs)
1 Disposable cold compress
First aid tape (1 roll)
Cotton tip applicator (20 pcs)
1 Abdominal pad
1 Slim rescue howler whistle
1 Button Compass Liquid filled
1 Moleskin blister relief
1 Triangular bandage
1 Emergency blanket
1 Glow stick
1 Disposable raincoat
1 Scissors and Metal tweezers
PBT conforming bandage (1 roll)
1 CPR face mask
Eye pad (2 pcs)
Elbow/knee bandage (2 pcs)
Safety pins (4 pcs)
Sting relief pads (2 pc)
Non-adherent pad (1 pc)
Adhesive wound dressing (1 pc).

I love that this kit isn't filled with just a million band-aids & alcohol pads. So many kits are like that and it drives me nuts. This actually has usable items you might need.

I like the inclusion of the 'above-basic' supplies, such as the emergency blanket, rain poncho, whistle, and glow stick. Also the abdominal pad, triangular bandage, & eye pads are items you don't see in the lower-priced kits.

The one thing that this kit is lacking is a first aid booklet. Many of the items have instructions on them, which is great, but a booklet would have been a nice addition.

Whether for bumps or scrapes that occur when camping or dealing with injuries at sporting events, having a First Aid Kit is always recommended.
