This month we're making Solid Sugar Scrub Cubes & Soap! OK, not today. Today I'm just reviewing the box. But when we actually do have time to make it, I'll post that too!
March's box is Solid Sugar Scrub Cubes. The box includes:- 16oz Melt & Pour Soap Base
- 8oz Sweet Almond Oil
- 18oz White Sugar
- .7oz Fresh Bamboo Fragrance Oil
- 1/2 Fired Up Fushia Colorant
- 1/2 Fizzy Lemonade Colorant
- 1 Dropper
- Rectangle Molds w/Lids
- Finished Labels
The box comes with a detailed instruction card. I like that they send the instructions in the box. I don't like kits that have the instructions online, or worse in video format only. I don't have download or streaming capability with my rural internet. So instructional cards are a true plus for me. And these are really done well.
The main components in the solid sugar scrub cubes is sugar, melt & pour soap base, & almond oil. They give you plenty for this project. The project is for 36 cubes and 3 soaps. If you decide to make more sugar scrub cubes, you can easily purchase more of this from several online merchants.
As we mentioned, this kit contains enough to make 36 cubes & 3 soaps. They include 6 rectangle molds with lids. I like that these are included. It makes it easy. These are pretty secure when snapping together. You know what else? They're reusable!
The kit also included Fresh Bamboo fragrance oil. The fragrance oil smells really nice. It's not too strong, and I like the scent. They included a pretty big bottle of fragrance.
They could have easily said you need to get your own sugar for this project. And honestly, I'm not sure they really needed to include it. I mean everyone has sugar, don't they? But, they included it anyway!
They also include a dropper for the fragrance oil. That's nice. I like that.And let's not forget the labels this yime! They are underneath the aaalll the paper crimps. They are nicely printed labels that can go on the containers you choose.
Each finished scrub gently exfoliates as the soap cleans. The oil leaves your skin feeling moisturized. Take one cube with you into the shower, knead with water in the palm of your hand, and scrub over desired area.
I can't wait to do this project. I've been trying a lot of scrubs lately, and hey, what's better than your own, right?! This is a great little project that not only older kids will like to do, but adults as well.Why Choose Handmade Beauty Box?
