SumoCrate March 2016 Subscription Box Review
They used to be a "high-protein" box. Now they have boxes for him, and boxes for her, each containing high protein, energy, and pre-workout items..
They've also added a point system. You earn 2 points for each dollar you spend. You also get 250 points when you sign up. You use those points towards purchases on their site.
Now, if they would get just an affiliate program..... ;-)
Sumo Crate has become one of my favorite boxes. I ditched two other health & fitness boxes to keep this one.
March's box contained 9 items:
- 22 Days Nutrition Protein Bar-Walnut Fudge Brownie
- 22 Days Nutrition Protein Bar -Quinoa Chocolate Chip Crisp
- ANSI Nutrition-Protein Ice Blue Raspberry
- MusclePharm-Coco Protein Pina Colada
- Pure Protein-Protein Bar Chocolate Salted caramel
- Bitefuel-Banana Apple Trail Mix
- Bitefuel Chocolate Chip Cookie
- Aloha Protein-Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bar
- Divine Bovine Jerky

SumoCrate ships in sturdy boxes. I want to know what in the world the Post Office is doing to our packages to do this to the box! Geez.
I gotta say, I'm not really a fan of SumoCrate's new thing about sending multiple items from one brand. This month they did it with both 22 Days, and Bitefuel.
We received 2, 22 Days bars. They are organic protein bars with 20g protein. They are non-GMO, plant-based, gluten-free, and soy-free. Boy, that's a lot of hyphens! The two flavors were Walnut Fudge Brownie, and Quinoa Chocolate Chip. I haven't tried these yet, because I haven't been working out, and these are upwards of 300 calories a bar. These are a soft, date bar.
The ArgiFlow is a amino supplement. This one is fruit punch flavor. It's 100% natural with no carbs. It supports healthy blood pressure & blood flow, as well as promotes removal of toxic amonia in the body. This is pharmaceutical grade L-Arginine Powder.
Divine Bovine Gourmet Beef Jerky was included this month. It is Tangy Teriyaki flavor. No nitrates, no preservatives, no MSG added. It is also made in the USA. This is a standard 3.25oz bag, and made with beef brisket. Mr. SnuggleBunny loves getting jerky in my subscription boxes. ;-)
Nest is a drink & some cookies. They'll follow the jerky well.
The ANSI Nutrition is a Protein Ice drink. I've never seen a protein drink like this. It's 42g of protein & Blue Raspberry flavor. I honestly cannot wait to try this. I'm kinda over the powders & would like a premade drink once & a while. It has 0g sugar & carbs, but does contain sucralose.
Bitefuel Power Bites are Chocolate Chip protein cookies. Protein and cookies? I'll take it! These have 18g protein, are non-GMO, and gluten free. This is a 3oz bag & has 3 servings in it. Or maybe 1 if you are me. ;-)
I've have a few Aloha bars & powders now, and they're pretty good. I haven't had this peanut butter choclate chip flavor yet though. Aloha is a subscription service & online store. They carry a variety of products.
Pure Protein is a mainstream product. I've had these a lot, and I lik most flavors. It has 19g protein and 200 calories. Thi is going into my 'long trip to the city bar stash'.
The last items in the box are Bitefuel's Banana Apple tail mix, and MusclePharm Coco Protein recovery drink.
Two drinks in one box. That's new! This is coconut water & protein; Pina Colada flavor. A win for me. The bottle is 130 calories, has 20g protein, and only 5g sugar. Sounds good. I hope I like it!
Bitefuel's protein granola trail mix is a 1.5oz package. It contains bananas, apples, and pecans. Has 10g of protein and is gluten free. I haven't been a fan of banana granola so far, though I love banana chips. Go figure. Maybe I'll like this one? We'll see.
Again, I'm very pleased with SumoCrate. The new changes they've made have improved their subscription experience. But like I said, I'm not too happy about getting 2 bars from the same brand. The cookies and granola are OK from the same brand, because I get to try another product from the same company.
If you're into high protein, health, & fitness foods, give SumoCrate a try!
