We had the pleasure of reviewing a number of products sold by Golden Groundhog.

We are a geek family, and play Magic The Gathering among other games. Well, they do, I just watch mostly. I haven't played in years. I don't have the patience as I have a short attention span anymore.

Mr. SnuggleBunny, my husband, is VERY pleased with GoldenGroundhog card sets. And of course my daughter was really excited & had to play as soon as I opened the boxes. The 100 pack promises rares, foils, mythics, & silvers. It delivers!

One impressive thing is the fact that the packs aren't filled with land cards. I mean, yeah, you need those, but come on, when you buy a retail set, that's what they mostly are. Full of lands & mostly commons. You get much more bang for your buck when buying these sets. You could spend a heck of a lot more on booster packs, and not get the same value in cards.

These sets are definitely for a deck builder and not a tournament player. The sets contains some older cards, so they wouldn't be good for those who have to only use the latest series. The packs are full of uncommons, as well as commons. The cards are like-new or new. There are no blemishes, creases or scuffs on the cards. We didn't notice that the cards have been played, but then we aren't collectors, so our eye isn't trained that way. But, you don't have to worry about getting some sticky, ratty card here.

The cards came in really nice deck boxes. You'll either get a plain white box, or a printed 'Fat Pack' box with the cards. We received 2 of each for the 4 decks we bought with our promotional discount. You don't have to buy a separate box to store your cards in. There were no duplicates within the individual packs, but over the four separate orders, there were some duplicates. But that is to be expected, and not a bad thing.

I was confused about the token cards. I couldn't find any information about why GoldenGroundhog makes these. From what I've read, is if the other players agree, you add them to your deck as regular playing cards. My hubby wouldn't do this, but my daughter might when playing with her friends.


Overall, we are very impressed with these sets & Mr. Snugglebunny says that next time he gets in the Magic card buying mood, instead of going retail he will go back to GoldenGroundhog.

Superheros. Every few years they become popular again. They sure are now. More than ever! This is a review of 20 Assorted Superhero Miniature Figures. Featuring 10 Marvel and 10 DC By Golden Groundhog.

This is an assortment of 20 Marvel AND DC superhero characters; Ten of each. These are actually playing pieces for the HeroClix game. Each game piece, or superhero, has a game card with it. The game pieces & cards themselves are nice, and go with the game well.

My husband has always like superheros. Me, not so much. But, I have recently made a shelf for some collectibles, and other items of the geeky nature. I thought that these little figures would be good to fill in the small spaces. These are small. They are somewhat fragile too. These are not for little kids to play with & throw around. If you play the HeroClix game that's fine. But you can go playing 'toy soldiers' with these. They will break.

These characters hold a good sculpture of the characters & their main superpower. A good characterization. I don't know any of these characters, but then again I only know the ones that are mainstream. It's an assortment. We got characters like Justice, Aleph, Kate Bishop, and XS. I think it's a good assortment, but one popular character would have been nice. Even if youu don't play the HeroClix game, I think any kid (or kid at heart) who loves superheros would like these figures.
