Studies have shown that an exposed toothbrush is subject to multiple surface and airborne bacteria.
The Toothbrush Shield replaces plastic caps and covers. Plastic caps and covers retain moisture and constrict air flow making them a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. The Center for Disease Control discourages the use of plastic covers.

This is the smartest invention ever! Do you take a toothbrush to work, to the gym, when traveling? Are your toothbrushes at home in a toothbrush holder?

Your toothbrush is at risk for contamination if stored in a shared cup with other toothbrushes, enclosed in a dark space such as a medicine cabinet, or in close proximity to a toilet. Did you know, a flushing toilet releases a fine mist of airbourne droplets that settle on surfaces within a six foot radius of the toilet; this mist can contain e-coli and many other harmful bacteria.

The IntelliDent Toothbrush Shield was tested to be a 99.9% effective barrier against airborne and surface bacteria.

Intellident has two products:
  • Toothbrush Shield
  • MouthGuard Shield
Toothbrush Shield is ideal for travel, home, work and everywhere in between. Breathable, quick drying shield that acts like a surgical mask for your toothbrush. Disposable and effective up to 7 days.

MouthGuard Shield replaces those plastic covers and containers which are breeding grounds for harmful bacteria. MouthGuard Shield protects your athletic mouth guard, orthodontic retainers and most dental appliances. MouthGuard Shield wicks away moisture and provides a barrier from the harmful germs and bacteria that lie in locker rooms, community living spaces, dormitory rooms, or while traveling.

These shields are an awesome invention! Ever since I learned years ago about how airborne particles land on your toothbrush, I've always kept ours in drawers. When traveling, we use those plastic caps & containers. I've always thought it was gross to enclose a wet toothbrush in a plastic container. I like this idea soooo much better!

These remind me of a gauze bandage. A breathable quick drying shield. They're inexpensive enough to use all the time.

IntelliDent Toothbrush Shield now available at over 3,000 Walmart Stores nationwide, 4,000 Rite Aid Stores, as well as online retailers. Intellident products are made in the USA.
