Alisten X25 Digital Voice Recorder Review

We reviewed the 3-In-1 Digital Audio Voice Recorder, Music MP3 Player, USB Flash Drive from Alisten.

This is a cute little unit. I got it for the voice recorder capability, though it does much more than that. I always come up with ideas at the most inopportune time... when I don't have a pen & paper handy. I wanted something I could keep handy.

This Micro Voice Recorder has the following features:
Easy fast charge
Auto record (schedule record and VOX (sound activation record): recording will automatically
Password lock and 25 Languages
Fast forward/backward with volume change

Small compact size (2.2 x 0.9 x 0.3 inch) and light weight (0.53oz) with 0.2" LED screen
8GB memory with USB 2.0
Recording quality bit rate of 192Kbps, or 384Kbps
Recording output format is WAV and supported music format is MP3 WMA WAV
Max recording time of 96 hours
Rechargeable lithium battery with up to 25 hours recording
System supported of Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10, Mac OS, Linux

This voice recorder is also an MP3 player & flash drive. How cool is that?! The package comes with the unit, headphones, and a USB charger that plugs into the headphone jack to charge.  The MP3 has pretty good sound quality. The recording is clear and I'm quite pleased with this. The earbuds are a bit tinny, and it sounds much better with good pair of headphones.

The one complaint we have with this, which both my kids agree with, is the lack of buttons. The unit is so small, that there is no place for more buttons, so each one does like 3 different things, depending on how long you hold it, or what other buttons you push at the same time. Kind of like a watch. It takes a bit to learn. But this is honestly the only real complaint. The instructions are bit hard to grasp, but then they are translated.

We really like this recorder so far. I hope it stands up to my first impressions of the unit.
