Colowlful Artist Colored Pencils

These color pencils are very nice. They are crafted in natural wood and come in an assortment of 24 colors. The eco colored pencil cores resist breakage, and the soft lead makes for easy clean sharpening. They have a comfortable grip, which makes for effortless drawing, sketching, blending and shading. The earth conscience colored pencils come in an eco friendly box and are Non-Toxic, Phthalate free, and above all animal Cruelty Free.

I've had quite a few sets of colored pencils over my lifetime. I do art & am a crafter. I've used good, OK, and bad color pencils. These are good!

These are really nice pencils. I have to say that these are better than a couple sets of 'artists' pencils I've had. These pencils come pre-sharpened. They aren't real pointy, so if you're wanting to get into tiny spaces, you'll need to sharpen them a bit more. They are quite strong & the tips don't break. The colors are very true & vibrant, They don't dull out when on the paper. I like the color choices in the box. So many hues. I haven't yet said, "I wish I had [so & so] color". My only problem is when I go back to a spot on my design, sometimes I can't tell which hue I used. They are not marked in any way & some of the colors are quite close.

The most impressive aspect for me is the smoothness. There are no streaks, scratches, or empty spots when coloring. I've had a real problem with color pencils leaving harsh lines when I color. These feel nice & soft. You can color very lightly, or add depth & put more pressure on the pencil without it digging into the paper. They also blend really well with other colors without a hard line between the two. Being non-toxic, phthalate-free and all-around eco-friendly is a bonus. I haven't had them splinter or dull too quickly.

I really do like these pencils. I haven't had them long enough to give a full evaluation or 5 stars. But so far, I would recommend them.
