We're reviewing two products here. A 2-pk of silicone baking sheets by Cook FX, and a silicone & steel spatula by CuliChef. I thought they'd go together pretty well in a review.

I am really, really happy with these mats. I've always used aluminum foil or parchment paper when baking. It uses a lot of product, and is time consuming, not to mention the aluminum foil probably isn't great for you. These mats are convenient to say the least. Nothing stuck to them, they fir in my pans perfectly, and my dough didn't roll around. The mats wipe clean easily, and ready to go for next time.  The only thing I didn't like was because they are so sticky any towel fuzz or animal fur stuck to it & I couldn't get it off.  I might try these to roll out mini pie dough.

CuliChef Silicone & Stainless Steel Spatula

I've never had a 'nice' spatula. I've always had ones that I either get from the dollar store, or that comes in one of those sets of 10 utensils, etc.  There is such a big difference between those, and....this. This has a nice sturdy steel center to it. I can expect this not to bend no matter how heavy something is I pick up. It's got a flexible silicone spatula part, and a comfortable handle.  With the high-heat rating I don't have to worry about melting it, like I've done so many times in the past. I also don't have to worry about

burning my hand from the metal because of the nice thick handle.  I've had no problems with it so far, and am happy with the quality. I'd never think of paying over $10 for a spatula, but maybe that's my problem. This should last me a good long time, unlike all those cheap ones I've purchased at probably well over the cost of this one.
