LEDit High Efficiency Hydroponic LED Grow Light

We reviewed the LEDit LED Grow light for indoor gardening for flowers, herbs and vegetables.


The light is meant to provide appropriate light quantity and brightness to ensure optimal environment for plant growth and maximum yield. This light has 12 Low Power consumption LEDs. There are 9 Red LEDs which boost growth of buds, flowers and fruits as well as 3 Blue LEDs which allow for a more fuller, taller and leafy plants. I'm easily amused, and I love the colored lights. I don't know if the science is actually behind this, but the light is more efficient than regular bulbs, and I'll take that.

LEDs last up to 10 times as long as compact fluorescent lamps, and they produce less heat and more light.  I am a fan of LEDs. They are so much brighter & use much less energy. I have a fluorescent grow light, and it really doesn't seem as intense as this one. I don't know if that is good for the plants or indifferent.

The outer shell material is metal and white plastic. It is a ribbed design with shaped vents. The vents are supposed to keep it cool. This seems like a pretty sturdy bulb. I just think the blue & red lights are cool. I cannot say whether or not this makes my plants grow better. Unless I did a true experiment, I wouldn't. All I know is I don't have a  place for my seed trays in a window (or outdoors) where they can get sunlight, so this to me is a good substitution. I'm quite happy with this light.

The LEDit LED Grow light fit the standard E27 (screw-in light bulb) socket.
