Running, Dog Walking, Jogging Hydration Belt Review

No more running with a water bottle in your hand, or even worse, no water at all.  I've been trying different bottle holders for me to take on my walks & runs in the morning. I haven't found the perfect solution yet. We reviewed the Hydration Belt by JD Fit here.

This belt promises no bouncing, twisting, or chafing. With the shape & size of the bottles, this belt wouldn't bounce like some others that hold heavier bottles. However, I'm not pleased with these bottles. You don't realize how little 6oz of water is until you're packing up to go for a 4 mile walk. They remind me of a kid's juice box. The shape of them is very smart because it conforms to the shape of your body. The bottles would be good for walking the dog, or a short 1 or 2 mile walk.

The bottle holder is very secure, and I like that. It has elastic bands AND an elastic cinch over the top. However, replacing the bottle is not a one-handed operation. That's inconvenient when you're on the go. I don't stop to drink when walking.

The belt has two safety reflector squares sewn on the front and one reflector on the rear clip. You can feel a tad bit safer in the darker mornings.

The placement of the bottles don't seem to interfere with my hands or arms. That's a hard thing to accomplish when you're talking about carrying a water bottle (or two).

The pack is made of a light weight material and pretty comfortable overall. The neoprene & mesh are a good choice for the pack and I love the feel. The biggest problem I have with this belt is the size. It states it firs size 23-38" waist.  I'm about a 34 right now (size 10), and it's very tight with the straps pulled all the way out. I don't like to wear things high on my waist anyway, and would want to wear it on my hips where it absolutely does not fit. They need to have either different sizes or a slightly longer strap. Not every one is tiny-waisted/hipped.  Isn't that why you're getting the belt? To exercise? I'm not that large, and this made me feel so overweight. They make a point to say that it fits "waist sizes down to a "00" womens", so I think this is geared towards smaller women. You can hand wash this pack when it starts to get dirty.

The main pocket is very large, waterproof, & zippered. Too large for my needs. It will fit phones such as the LG G4 G3, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, Samsung Galaxy S5 S6, iPhone 6 6 plus, Motorola Moto G, HTC One M9, & Samsung Galaxy Note 4 5 EDGE will fit with an OtterBox.  There is a rubber seal that allows you to slide your headphone wire through the back of the bag. There is a smaller pocket as well where you can carry your chopstick or doggie poop bags. The pockets are flat & have no depth, so if they are empty, they don't sag. It has a carabiner clip so you can clip your keys or a dog leash.

If you're a smaller woman, with one of the larger size phones, I think this would be a great pack for you. If you are a size 12 or larger, pass this one up.
