BoCandy January 2016 Subscription Box

This is my third box from BoCandy. I signed up for the 3-month sub, so this is our last box. We didn't renew, as we wanted to try something else. But we may sign back up later.

The box is simple. Just snacks in a sturdy plain white box with the BoCandy logo. No glam or glitz, just yumminess.

January came with 6 items:

  • Peanut Bar (Bulgaria)
  • Pocky Sticks (Japan)
  • Chocolate Marzipan (Mexico)
  • Japanese Wand Gum
  • Vanilla Cake (Russia)
  • Honey Linzer (E. Europe/Asia)
The info card lists the items in the box, and where they are from.
Let me start off my review by saying I'm reviewing the subscription box from an honest, normal consumer's opinion. I'm not reviewing the individual products in the box. I review the box so that you can decide if this is something you'd like to subscribe to. As for the products, if a product stands out, good or bad, I will make a separate review for that product/brand.
The first item is the box is the Honey Linzer. My daughter loved this! She described it as a spongecake. Creamy & delicious. She wants more.

The next item is from Russia. We haven't tried this yet. My daughter gets one subscription box snack item each day, much to her chagrin. Otherwise they's all be gone the first day, and I'd be hearing "When will the box be here?!", for 30 long days. It looks like a moon pie.

Next comes the Hello Kitty Pocky. This is strawberry yogurt flavored. It has been devoured, of course. No, not by me... by the other female in the house. There's a reason Pocky is so popular.... it's yummy!

Japanese Wand Gum

My daughter says the Japanese Wand Gum was really, really good. It had a lemonish flavor. She seems to like Japan's candies the best. She wants more of this too. LOL

The last items were from Bulgaria & Mexico.

The chocolate marzipan treat was reminiscent of a reeses. The inside was very crumbly, like Magic Sand, but tasty. Once it got in your mouth it melted smooth.  It wasn't my favorite, but my daughter liked it a lot.

The Peanut Bar is from Bulgaria. It's made by Nestle. It's a large bar, and I might try this one later today. My daughter doesn't like peanuts, so I actually get something in this box! ;-)

We received 6 items in each of the 3 boxes we got. This isn't exactly 6-9 considering some were listed as 'bonus', so I'm not happy about that. I would have liked to have more of an 'average' number of treats.

All in all, if you like trying treats from different parts of the world, this box has a nice assortment.

I'm not sure if this code is good anymore, but you could try.... Use code HELLO52 to save 52% off your first box!
