Love with Food January 2016 Tasting Box Review

Love with Food was one of the first subscription boxes I ever subscribed to. Thanks to them & StrideBox I'm obsessed, & my credit card is maxed! In all honesty, I really like Love with Food. I've been getting their boxes since September & have enjoyed every one. After a couple months I changed my monthly subscription to a yearly, knowing I'd keep enjoying it. I have even used points to purchase a product on their site.

Love with Food (I always accidentally say, "Love for Food") always is themed, and comes with a nicely printed pamphlet detailing the products in this month's box. They send coupons & vouchers for products in the boxes as well.

Info pamphlet

January contained  8 items:

  • Corn & Sea Salt Chips by The Better Chip
  • Mini Chocolates by Ritter Sport
  • Handmade Sea Salt Caramel by Annie B's
  • Hard Candies by Goorganic
  • Granola Cookie 2pk by Nothin' But Foods
  • Original Premium Smoked Pork Snack Stick by Dimario Foods
  • Mini Wafers by Loacker
  • Tomato & Onin Bruschetta by Dippin'

Let me start off my review by saying I'm reviewing the subscription box from an honest, normal consumer's opinion. I'm not reviewing the individual products in the box. I review the box so that you can decide if this is something you'd like to subscribe to. As for the products, if a product stands out, good or bad, I will make a separate review for that product/brand.

Chips & Chocolate
The irst item in the box is from The Better Chip. Five ingredients you can read. Non-Gmo & Vegan. The only time I eat corn chips is when II have tuna salad, so these will be tried then.

Chocolate. The mini wafer was delish. My daughter said it had a sticky chocolate feeling in her mouth. I just think it was light & creamy. I liked it...wished there was more than one!

I'm saving the milk chocolate & praline for when I can't resist the urge to eat a piece chocolate.

Hard Candies

I've received hard candies from GoOrganic previously in a box, but apple flavor. I have to say these are a nice treat. It's a large 3.5oz bag of preservative free, natural individually wrapped candies. These have real cherry juice in them, and taste sooooo much better than the crap that overwhelms the candy isle.

Granola Cookies 2pk

I can't wait to try the granola cookies. 100% natural, non-GMO, and gluten free. Two cookies are 170 calories with 4g protein.

I'm really enjoying all the healthy snacks I get in my subscription boxes. When you have to shop quickly at the mega-marts, you just dn't realize how much good stuff is out there that isn't loaded with chemicals and ingredients you just can't pronounce.

The savory....
Next in the box is a smoked pork stick by Dimario Foods. I used to eat Slim Jims all the time, so I cannot wait to try this to compare. This will go into my stash of protein for when I forget to eat after working outside on the homestead.

My hubby will get the Dipin. He loves bruschetta. Me, not such a fan. The first ingredient is tomatoes, not corn syrup! I love making him eat healthy. ;-)

Annie B's Sea Salt Caramel

The last item I can't exactly show you a picture of.... well, except for the empty wrapper. My daughter & I devoured this before I took any photos. It was divine! The caramel was soft & creamy with little chunks of crunchy sea salt in the middle. Oh yeah, we'll be getting more of these! My daughter even licked the wrapper.

The Love with Food Tasting Box is really worth the money. I signed up with a huge Black Friday discount, so it comes to under $7 a box for me. But even at the $9.99 month-by-month price, it's still a good value! Although, I highly recommend the yearly sub which works out to be $7.99 a box. Or go for the Deluxe for even more snacks every month!

You get a great selection of sweet & savory snacks each month. Plus, you earn points reviewing what you received, which you can use towards purchasing large quantities of the snack sizes in their boxes. And don't forget, for every box you buy, they send one to a local food bank! That in of itself is worth the price of admission! So go for it, try Love with Food. You won't be sorry!
