Treatsie December 2015 Subscription Box Review

This was my first box from Treatsie. I'm not a "gourmet" person. I had a Black Friday/Cyber Monday coupon that entitled me to my first box for $7.95, so I thought, "What the heck, I'll give it a try".

Info card
The box included an information card that described everything in the box.

This box included:
  • Malvi-Red Velvet Marshmallow Cookie Sandwiches
  • The Art of Caramel-Brandy Spiked Eggnog Caramel Popcorn
  • Chuao Chocolatier-Holiday Cjocopods
  • Raley's Confectionary-Treatsie Variety Mix

Everything in the box

I felt it was a good variety of treats. There were a total of 4 brands, and 7 items in this box. However, the red velvet marshmalows & bag of hard candies have multiple servings.

Chuao Chocolatier

I received Chuao chocolates in another subscription box last month, so I know I like them. There were 4 different flavors in this box. They'll go into my chocoloate stash. Yum!

The brandy-spiked eggnog caramel popcorn sounds really good. I told my husband that he could have it because he loves caramel corn, but he hasn't eaten it yet. Since he's away on orders for the weekend, I might just 'accidentally' eat it. He won't notice right?

Malvi

I am not a red velvet fan, nor a marshmallow fan, so these went to my daughter. She loves both.

I gotta say, she wasn't thrilled with these. She said the marshmallows had no flavor, and the red velvet cookies were "icky".

Like I've said before, I'm here to review the box as a whole, not the particular contents. Everyone has their own tastes. Their preferred pallet.

The bag of hard candies are really, really good. Everyone in the family likes these. I have to keep my daughter away from them, or I'll never get any. They are tangy, sweet, & delicious. They have very distinct flavors.

Overall, I think the Treatsie box is fun. A box full of gourmet treats for the more upscale pallet. I'd love to get this box every month, but at $20, I just can't fit it into my budget.... I have way too many other boxes.

If you're a fan of small-batch confectioners, I say go for this box! It's a thumbs up.
