Clean Bar December 2015

This is my second box from Clean Bar. I haven't tried any of the soaps yet. Why? Honestly, I'm a bit scared. I have to say I was very disappointed with my last box. We received our first box in October & it smelled soooooo good! I couldn't wait to try the soap......

 

Then I took a shower. It burned. The soap burned! I couldn't get it off. It was a very uncomfortable 3 hours. Now, I have absolutely no skin sensitivities, so the only answer is that the soaponification process didn't finish. I let the soap sit for another 2 weeks, and it was OK. This speaks ill of the soap maker.

Honestly, I don't like the cut of the 5oz soaps. They are hard to hold. Too wide for your hand. And honey, I don't have small feminine hands. Square bars I feel are just ill-proportioned for holding. Second, the scent disappeared after rinsing. This made me sad.

Clean Bar has different subscriptions. And their value is actually great! I just wish I didn't have such a bad experience, because otherwise, I love the sub.

Our large boxes include two ~5 ounce bars of soap and two ~2.5 ounce bars of soap, while our sampler has four ~2.5 ounces of soap. Each box size has four new scents of soap every month as well as a write-up describing the scents and our seasonal inspiration for choosing them. Our sampler box and bi-monthly plan is great for singles or smaller families who just want enough soap to last the months, while our large box is excellent for larger families and big time soap fans!

Since I signed up & paid for 2 boxes up front, bimonthly, I received this [my second] box last week.

Now, I have to say I did cancel my subscription immediately upon receiving it due to my bad experience, so I won't be receiving any more.

I will however see how these soaps feel (on a small part of my body first to test). Again, the box smells wonderful. The scents are very appealing. You can smell the soaps before you even open the box.

2.5oz French Vanilla Biscotti
