Retro Pop Box December 2015 70's Subscription Box Review

Each Retro Pop Box contains 4-7 items, valued at over $45, for a jolt of nostalgia from your favorite decade. Each box spans the decade and touches on iconic events, music, shows, movies, toys, candy and more!

This was my first box from Retro Pop Box. I ran across them one day and I just knew I had to have it! My only indecision was whether to choose 60's, 70's or 80's. I love retro. I picked the 70's.... this time around. I love things forgotten from the past. This is a perfect niche for me.

Info card

The info card described everything included in the box and why. I like info cards.

This box contained 5 items. It was a good variety of 70's nostalgia.

Everything in the box

This box included:
  • "Miser vs Miser" Exclusive T-Shirt
  • DC Comics Villians Magnet Set
  • Ode to Role Play 20-sided Die & Door Hanger (The info card says "dice" which is plural. There is one die.)
  • Disco Ball Decorative Keychain
  • Kitsch on the Rocks Cocktail Coasters.

I'm not a comics fan, but my hubby is. So, these are a bit of retro that will go on the fridge for decoration that he won't mind.... and they're useful too.

Coasters
The coasters are cute. I like the packaging with the old 'price tag' look. I don't have a use for these, so I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with them. Probably gift them.

Do Not Disturb

Roll the die...

The RPG door hanger & die is cute. Back in the decade where it all started from, these types of games are really popular now. I don't role play or play these types of games, but I did play the old Dungeons & Dragons game on the Commodore 64 with my cousin, so it was a bit of nostalgia.

This was my favorite item from the box. I LOVE disco balls! I have one hanging from my rear view mirror. Now I have a keychain to match! And the "Boogie Oogie Oogie" tag is so disco. Yup. I'll repeat. I love it!

The T-shirt

The T-shirt is cute, but I have to say, I didn't get it. It reminded me of Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots, but I have no idea who Mister Ten Below or Mister Hundred-and-One is. Yeah, I know, I'm gonna get flamed for my ignorance. ;-)

I have to say this box wasn't a big win for me, but that's my personal taste. There was nothing wrong with the items included, they just weren't my cup of tea.

If you are into retro, THIS is the box you want! Whichever decade you choose. I cannot wait until my January box to see what's inside! I've never seen a box like this on the market. I think they have a winner here!
