Let me start off my review by saying I'm reviewing the subscription box from an honest, normal consumer's opinion. I'm not reviewing the individual products in the box. I review the box so that you can decide if this is something you'd like to subscribe to. As for the products, if a product stands out, good or bad, I will make a separate review for that product/brand.

Included in each box is an informational card which explains each item, and the cost should you wish to order the full-size product.

This box contained 8 items:
  • Complete Energy Bites
  • Smarty Pants Adult Complete
  • ETB Whey Pure Isolate Protein
  • Vital 4U Liquid Energy
  • Balance Bar
  • Oogie's Movie Lovers Butter Gormt Popcorn
  • Bonus: Tiger Balm Ultra Strength Pain Relieving Ointment
  • Bonus: Earth's Car Dry & Cracked Skin Balm
The first item is another package of Complete Energy Bites. I received one last month, and I also received one each in the weightloss box both months. I haven't tried these yet because I can't take anything "energy" for a while. There are 6 in the package. The first ingredient is sugar, but it only contains 5g per serving. It also contains 135mg caffeine, which is comparable to one 12oz premium coffee.

Vitamins & Whey Powder

The next items in the box were a package of Smarty Pants Adult gummies. Unlike other packets I've received, this actually has one serving (6 gummies) in the package! These are yummy. I may save my points to purchase these. The daily % value is higher than those I've seen in the store.

Also included is a serving of ETB Eat the Bear Ice Cream Sandwich flavored protein powder.  I like receiving all these different flavors of protein powders in subscription boxes, because I didn't know they existed! The stuff you find in the store is chocolate or vanilla. Boring! This is 100 calories, non-GMO, and 24g protein. Recommended for pre or post workout.

A pouch of Liquid Energy is next. It's 1/2 oz, 30 calories & 7 carbs. It contains B-vitamins, panax ginsing, and real cane sugar. This one is coffee flavor. I haven't tried this yet, but it's going right into my 'energy' stash. I always need energy. Living on a homestead, homeschooling 2 kids, & taking care of the home is a lot of work.

Popcorn & Protein bar
Popcorn. My husband or daughter will get this. I'm not a popcorn fan. Oogie's is made right here in Denver. There's nothing artificial in this popcorn, and it's non-GMO.

The Balance bar is full-size. It's double chocolate brownie flavor. It comes in at 14g protein & 200 calories. It's kinda high at 17g sugar. This will go right into my protein bar pile for long trips to the city when I inevitably forget to eat. Balance has pretty good flavor. Not my favorite, but not one that I will turn down either.

The last 2 items are bonus items. Tiger Balm contains herbal ingredients & provides fast, penetrating heat to your muscles.

The cracked skin balm's container is deceiving. It's a large container, but only half full (.12oz). That's alright, there's still enough to try.  The wintergreen oil overpowers all the other ingredients & is strong. But I like wintergreen. I'll probably use it on my feet. This is petroleum & paraban free!

Overall, I think you get a lot of product for your money here, especially if you use the 50% off coupon which I do believe is still in effect. The code is: BULUFIVE and will work with either box.  Each sample gives you an idea of whether or not you will like the product enough to fork out the cost of a full size. And let's be honest, nutritional supplements are expensive! It's great to be able to try them first. I am real happy with Bulu Box, and recommend them to my readers!

Refer your friends once they sign up! Your friends can receive their second box FREE! Just tell them to use coupon code FANTASTIC

Now, let me explain the point system. 10 points = $1 in their store. When you purchase a monthly box, you get 1 point per $ you paid for your sub (If you pay full price at $10, you get 10 points, using a coupon for $5 box, you get 5 points). When you review each product you get 10 points each. There were 8 products in the box this month. Which means I got 5 points for the cost of the box (using coupon), and 80 points for reviewing the products. That's 85 points, or $8.50 to use in their store for a box I paid $5 for. So if I buy full-size products of the samples I like, I'm virtually getting the monthly boxes for free. I'd sign up, just for that. Oh wait, I did!
