Walmart Winter Beauty Subscription Box Review

"In your Walmart Beauty Box, you’ll find sample beauty products and tips on how to use those and other items sold at Walmart and on Walmart.com."

Walmart Beauty box is a seasonal box. You sign up, and then during each season, Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer, Walmart ships out a box of beauty samples to your door. The box itself is free, and you pay a flat shipping & handling fee of $5. So, you are charged $5 per season to your card on file.

They ask for your birthday when you sign up, and I believe the boxes are slightly customized for age.

The boxes vary throughout the season. This means that Jane in New Hampshire, may get a box full of samples in December, but Margaret in Nebraska will get totally different samples in January.

I received my box the second week in January. Others received theirs in December, and still others haven't received theirs yet.
This is my Winter box
This was my box for Winter. It included 4 trial-sized samples, 1 full product, and several foil packets.

There is a smear card of Jennifer Aniston's fragrance. This is the type of sample you get on magazine page ads.

There are also two .02oz samples of Olay regenerist. Sure it's not enough to tell if the product works good for you, but it is enough to let you know if you're going to have a reaction to it, or if it isn't what you'd like.
Foil samples

The foil samples include Loreal Paris Advanced Haircare products. Restoring Shampoo, Restoring Conditioner, and Total Repair 5 Ceramide.

I also received two foil samples of Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer. There's also a coupon. I've been wanting to try this, so it's perfect!

Aveeno

I received a travel sample of Aveeno Skin Relief body wash & lotion. I will definitely use these. And I love the coconut scent.

Pantene & nspa

More coconut! The nspa body butter is a 1.7oz size. Enough to see if it works, or is irritating to my skin.

The travel hairspray. I wont use this, so it will get passed on to someone else.
Silicone Elastics

The last thing in the box is some elastic hair bands from Goody. These feel really creepy! These are nice & tight, and hold my hair. They have a bit of the rubberband pull when taking them out of your hair, but not too bad. I'll try these on my next walk or run.

I've seen a lot of complaints about this box on subscription blogs. That it's just samples. That they didn't get as much as the next person, that there was too much lotion. It's a free sample box! I mean seriously, people. If you don't like it, don't complain-just cancel.

I've been quite happy with the 3 boxes I've received so far. I'm sure I'll end up getting a box that's not up to par, but that's the gamble you take with these "mystery" boxes. Right?

If you'd like to get a surprise box of samples each season for only $5, I say the Walmart Beauty Box is a good choice!
