Handmade Beauty Box December 2015 Subscription Box Review
This is my 3rd Handmade Beauty Box. I've liked them all so far.
Due to the nature of the boxes, they must be ground-shipped, and are sent via UPS. The boxes are pink.... or decorated with pink like this one.
When opening the box, on top are the instructions for the monthly project. All the ingredients & supplies are nicely packed in crinkled paper. Underneath are usually the labels. This month they were packed on the side.
My daughter, who's almost 12 gets really excited when these boxes come. They're fun projects for us to do together. They include enough supplies to make plenty for her to give to her friends. We both like the fact that not only did we learn how to make something, and get finished products to use, but we can make it again in the future, knowing what ingredients & supplies we'll need.
December's box was eye shadow. Interesting. I had never thought about making homemade eyeshadow. I don't use eyeshadow, and my daughter's too young. We probably won't use the product ourselves this month. That's the gamble you take when you subscribe to surprise boxes. But it's OK! It'll still be fun make them, and we'll give them out as gifts. Win!
The instructions are always very thorough and easy to follow.

Everything is always nicely packed.

It's been very busy being the Holiday season, so we haven't made the kit yet. As soon as we do, I'll post our results. We haven't had any issues with any of their kits so far. They are easy, quick & fun.
Labels |
The labels are just printed on thick paper. You have to cut them out & adhere them to the pots using adhesive. It would be nice if they were precut stickers.
In addition to the project in the box, they have other projects for you to try on their website & facebook page! They're really informative & easy!
Overall I really like Homemade Beauty Box. It costs approximately $30 a month, depending on your subscription length. I had ordered when I found a 25% off coupon, which made it affordable for me. When I find another awesome coupon, I will definitely let you know!
If you like to know what's in your beauty products, if you like doing crafts, this box is definitely for you! I have a few DIY / Crafts subscription boxes, and this is one of my favorites.
