What exactly are Chessecakes in a Jar? They are individual, portion-sized 1/4 lb. Gourmet Cheesecakes, each baked in its own recyclable glass jar. They have over 20 flavors! We had the pleasure of tasting 4 of these, and they all were absolutely delectable! Creamy & thick, just like a New York style cheesecake. Only in a single-serving reusable jar. I was in heaven! I will not admit to licking the jar.
They use use all natural, quality ingredients, including Philadelphia Cream Cheese®, whole eggs, unsalted butter, pure cane sugar and real cream.
My favorites were the Blackberry Cabernet and the German Chocolate. I think. Or was it the Strawberry NY style and the Outer Banks? Oh, who am I kidding. I loved them ALL!
The Blackberry Cabernet cheesecake was absolutely divine! Blackberry Cabernet puree swirled throughout a decadent cheesecake, then topped with a chocolate ganache, and topped again with Blackberry Cabernet sauce. This is a no-crust, gluten-free cheesecake.
The German Chocolate Cheesecake is a house-made Chocolate Pecan Biscotti Crumb Crust with a Sour Cream / Cream Cheese Cheesecake and a semi-sweet Chocolate Glaze on the sides pressed with sliced almonds and topped with a Shredded Coconut/Brown Sugar/Pecan ganache and finished off with a tossing of toasted coconut. Personally, I just call it "perfect".Sound delicious, don't they? They ARE!
In addition to their signature sweet cheesecakes, they also have Savory Appetizer Cheesecakes. We had the pleasure of trying two of these. Both were delicious.
Roasted Garlic Savory Appetizer Cheesecake: Cheese, spices and herbs topped off with a Roasted Tomato Pesto. We spread this on several types of crackers. It had just the right amount of 'too much' garlic. De-lish!
The El Diablo was just.... wow! This Savory Cheesecake takes Ghost Peppers, Habanero Peppers & Jalapeño Peppers and combines them with Pepper Jack Cheese, Red Onions, Sriracha Sauce, Herbs and Spices and tops that with an Ancho/Chipotle Pesto. Crackers, wine, and this savory cheesecake, make the perfect combo. This isn't just spicy, this is SPICY!Their newest product is Colorado-Style Southern Chow Chow. This recipe includes Tomatillo's, Ghost Peppers and more. It's the perfect 'Heat meets Sweet' level. Colorado-Style Southern Chow Chow has won many awards, and we can see why. We loved it!
Mr. SnuggleBunny called it, "The best damn relish, ever". I think that just about sums it up, doesn't it? It was great on kielbasa, on hot dogs, on eggs, with pretzels & crackers, and chicken. Our cheesecakes arrived perfect through FedEx. They were in a tiny Styrofoam cooler inside an insulated bag with ice packs.
