Surprise My Pet February 2016 Dog Box Review & Coupon

This was our first Surprise My Pet box. Am I strange that I really love the blue & yellow box? Yellow is the color of excitement, and it really works here.

We received a dog box. I'm not sure the size. I have a basset & a rottie. The nylon bone is for up to 30lbs. So I'd say this is probably a small dog box. Maybe a medium. They have 4 sizes available:
  • Tiny
  • Small
  • Medium
  • Large
Next month they start cat boxes!

When you open the box, the paperwork is on the top. There was a blue page with a cute quote & paw prints. This is different than the standard tissue paper many subscription boxes use. I like different.

They included an info card, a card which talks about Surprise my Pet recently changing ownership, and a coupon card for Brothers Leather Supply (dog collars). Hmmmm... my rottie needs a new collar. I may visit them.

They will start to ship worldwide next month!

The info card describes each item in the February box. There were 6 items.

  • Ry's Ruffery Healthy Dog Treats
  • Jack for Joy Plastic Toy
  • Handy Solutions Lint Roller
  • Bow Wow Pals Tennis Balls
  • Flavorit Peanut Butter Bone
  • Puffsters Chips
It's a nice variety of treats, toys & practical items.

The Puffsters Chips are by Loving Pets. It's a large bag with over 50 treats. The bag is 4az. These retail for $7.99

The treats are less than 10 calories, and are cranberry chicken flavor.  They are made in the USA with simple all natural ingredients.

Puffsters Chips are soy-free, glycerin-free, and corn-free. There are no fillers, additives, or by-products.

This is a nice crunchy puffed treat. I can only assume it's flavorful, 'cuz my dogs sure liked 'em!

Next are the tenis balls and jacks toy.

The tennis balls are from Bow Wow Pals. There are 3 in the bag, and come in colors. They have little paw prints printed on the balls.

My dogs like tennis balls, so this is a win. These retail for $4.99-$7.99 (varies with size).

The Jack for Joy toy is interesting. It's made in the USA from an extremely durable material. It's made of SAN, a non-toxic plastic. It's a one piece construction pet toy that is shatterproof & chip proof. It's quite heavy.

There are no sharp edges to harm your dog's teeth or gums. It's designed to stand up to hours of rough & tumble play. This retails for $10.

The Ry's Ruffery Healthy Dog Treats are next.  These are all-natural treats that are made in the USA. The bag is 4oz.

Th treats we received are peanut butter flavor. A favorite with my dogs. These have no fillers, no chemicals, and no byproducts.  They are vegetarian, crunchy & wholesome. They are shaped like bones & are a small size. These treats are grain-free and have 13 calories per biscuit.

Ry's Ruffery was featured on Shark Tank! They retail for $6.99.

The last items were a lint roller and a nylon bone.

I've used lint rollers before. They are good if you are trying to get a small amount of pet hair off your shirt. Don't try to clean your couch with one though!

This one is tiny. A travel roller. Or perfect for the car. It has 30 sheets, and is a useful inclusion to the box. A lot of people don't like non-treat/toys in their pet boxes. I actually like pet themed human items, or practical pet accessories. This retails for $2.49.

The nylon bone is from Flavorit, and is peanut butter infused. It's for dogs up to 30 lbs. You spread peanut butter (or other spread) into the 'cells'. Interesting.

This toy is made in the USA and is dishwasher safe & sized medium. It retails for $7.99-$11.99 (depending on size).

Surprise My Pet donates 10% of it's profits to help charities and shelters across the US.

I liked the February Surprise My pet box. Both treats were all natural & made in the USA. Two out of 3 of the toys were also made in the USA (the tennis balls were made in china). It was a good variety of items. The value of this box is somewhere between $40.45 & $47.45. I think that's exceptional for the $25 price (excluding shipping). And the box is only $19 if you sign up for a year! A great deal.

I can't wait to see their cat boxes!
