Kate’s Real Food Energy Bar Review
Wholesome energy bars by Kate's Real Food are small batch made from organic ingredients. For outdoor play that takes you deep into the backcountry, or for grab-and-go sustenance.
I have to be honest, I love the names! "Tiki Bar", and "Handle Bar" are just so darn funny. I love a good play on words. Mr. SnuggleBunny says they need to come out with a mini, and call it a "Singles Bar".
As for the taste... If you know snack bars, some are nut heavy, some rice crisp, some squishy date, and some are heavy on the protein which try to imitate candy bars (and fail miserably). Kate's Real Food bars are heavy on the crisp rice. They do it well.Out of the 5 bars, I really liked 3 of them. Two were just not of my personal taste, but they were still good bars. The bars are bigger than normal bars, so if you are watching your caloric intake, eat accordingly.
Kate’s Bars are also sweetened by organic honey. The natural sugars in honey give a more sustained energy boost and have been found to keep blood sugar levels more consistent than other sugars. They are not overly sweet. The bars have between 5 and 9 grams of protein. Kate's bars are certified organic and Kosher.The flavor is true. It doesn't have any funky "what's that?" taste. Not one ingredient overpowers another, so you can actually taste the flavors you expect. I could see myself eating these regularly.
