SumoCrate February 2016 Subscription Box Review & Coupon

Sumo Crate is rather new in the subscription world, and they've been working to get the kinks out of everything & making improvements in the last 6 months. Recently they've gone through a major overhaul on their subscriptions.

They used to be a "high-protein" box. Now they have boxes for him, and boxes for her, each containing high protein, energy, and pre-workout items. They just keep getting better & better.

They've also added a point system. You earn 2 points for each dollar you spend. You also get 250 points when you sign up. You use those points towards purchases on their site.

Sumo Crate has become one of my favorite boxes. I ditched two other health & fitness boxes to keep this one.

I really like Sumo Crate's info card (so much better than those printouts from the early months *wink*). The cards contain all the essential macros for each product, along with some extra categorization.

February's Crate included 8 items:
  • Buff Cake Protein Cookie
  • Buff Cake Protein Peanut Butter
  • Aloha Chocolate Protein Powder
  • Squarebar Protein Bar
  • Coco Libre Protein Coconut Water
  • Bubba's Carolina Beef Jerky
  • Ostrim Beef & Elk Stick
  • JavaPro Protein Shake w/real Coffee
The first product is Bubba's Carolina Beef Jerky. Mr. SnuggleBunny snatched it & ate it all before I got my pictures taken of the actual jerky. He liked it, said it was moist & flavorful. A nice mesquite flavor without being over powering.

Made in the USA & owned by a disabled vet.

This jerky made me giggle.... it came with a flosser in the package!

Next are the two drinks. This made the box heavy!

The first one is Coco Libre Protein Coconut Water in chocolate flavor. I've bought this before & like it. It's gluten-free and has 23 vitamins & minerals.

Coconut water is low in carbs & sodium, and rich in potassium. Each ounce contains 5.45 calories, 1.3g of sugar, 61mg of potassium, and 5.45mg of sodium.

The second drink is JavaPro Protein Shake. This contains real coffee.

It contains 16g of protein, 70mg of caffeine, only 4g sugar, and 100 calories. This is from the makers of IsoPure.

Next in the box is protein chips & an elk stick.

Yes, I said an elk stick. This is from OS Trim, and is a beef & elk snack stick. It's high protein, low fat. It is supposedly sweet & spicy. I'll hand this one over to Mr. SnuggleBunny. He eats all that is meat. This stick is only 90 calories.

The protein chips are from Quest. They're not on the info card. These are cheddar & sour cream flavor. It's a 1 1/8oz bag & contains a whopping 21g protein. They're light & airy with a subtle cheddar flavor. You can taste the protein blend with these, but they're tasty & addicting.

We then have the Aloha protein powder & the peanut butter.

The protein peanut butter is white chocolate flavor & is from Buff Bake. It contains peanuts, whey protein, white chocolate, milk powder, dry milk, coconut palm sugar, chia & flax seed. So, a healthier peanut butter. It has 11g protein per pouch.

I have yet to try Aloha products though they are gaining popularity. You can check out ALOHA here. This is chocolate flavor & you can mix it in water, smoothie, or post-workout drink. It's organic, soy-free, vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free & plant-based.

The last items are from Buff Cake & Squarebar.

The Buff Cake protein cookies are good. I received one in another sub box. They contain 16g of protein, and have 150 calories. It weighs more than a standard snack bar. This is frosted oatmeal cookie flavor.

the Squarebar is cocoa mint. I like mint.  I can't wait to try this one. It's organic, soy free, gluten free, and non-GMO. It's a 1.7oz bar and is vegan.

Once again, I'm very happy with my Sumo Crate. There are a variety of items included, all of which I will try.

Oh, I forgot to mention, you can also preview the box now before you buy!

If you sign up right now they have a coupon for 10% off with free shipping!
Use code: MAR16. But hurry, it's only for a limited time!

Now, if they would get just an affiliate program..... ;-)
