Pet Treater February 2016 Subscription Box Review & Coupon

I've received a number of Pet Treater boxes, and I've always been pleased. The box comes with more/better items than some other dog subscription boxes. The box is large & always full.

Pet Treater sends treats & toys for your pet, and one item for their human. They don't really theme all their boxes, but during holidays, some of the items may be geared towards that holiday.

Each month a letter comes to your pet. It can be a letter of just fun stuff, or a letter highlighting a special dog.

My daughter loves seeing an envelope addressed to Sheba. She reads the letters to the dog each month.

We receive the large dog box.

February's box came with 9 items:
  • Pink 'Juliet' Bandana
  • Huggle Hounds Ruff-Tex Toy
  • Huggle Hounds Fur Ever Heart Pillow
  • Fleece Pet Throw
  • Pur Luv Mini Sizzlin' Strips
  • Heart Cookies from Carolina Biscuit
  • Nature's Recipe Oven Baked Biscuits
  • Huggle Hounds Play Toy
  • Lover Notebook (for your Human)
Pet Treater doesn't send info cards in their boxes. I'm a big fan of info cards. They do send a card with a Pet of the Month picture on one side, and how to enter the contest for your dog to be picked. The other side tells you this month's 'title', and next month's spoiler.

The first item in the box is the Mini Sizzlin' Strips from Pur Luv.

They're made with chicken, flax seed, & sweet potato. It's a 6 ounce bag, and from Canada. These are extra chewy treats.

The next item is a play toy from Huggle Hounds. This is labeled 'designed to be a play toy and not a chew toy. No part of this toy should be ingested as regurgitation or intestinal blockage could result', and is made from long fur. I don't understand this toy. Dogs chew. Maybe there are dogs out there that don't chew toys? I don't know, but since my dogs don't have oppose-able thumbs & have to mouth their toys, I'm not going to give this to them.

The throw blanket is a bright orange. Guess you can't mistake that for any of your household blankets! ;-)
I like the orange.

It's a one-size at 35" x 50".  This comes from the ASPCA, is machine washable, and is made from recycled materials.

Next is a huge bag of treats. This is 19oz and from Nature's Recipe, and for 'all dogs'. They are oven baked biscuits, lamb flavor. These are made with carrots, oats, flaxseed, and lamb meal. They contain no corn, soy, or artificial preservatives.

The package of Custom Special Oversized Hearts, unfortunately came broken. But they are very thin, and shipping is rough. My dogs wont care. They're made by Carolina Biscuit who are a vegan holistic specialty dog biscuit bakery using only quality natural & human grade ingredients. These contain chickpea flour, organic flax seeds, parsley, olive oil, organic tocopherols with 19% protein.

The Fur Ever pillow & Juliet bandana are obviously geared towards Valentines day.

The pillow is again, from Huggle Hounds, is made from a pink corduroy, and had a squeaker. It's a pretty good size, so my basset will surely enjoy this. It looks to be of fairly good construction. We'll see if Sheba destroys the squeaker within her usual 2 minutes.

My daughter squealed at the bandana and immediately put it on Sheba. I've noticed my daughter squeals a lot whe opening subscription boxes. Maybe I'm not the only one addicted.

Since this was a 'love themed' box, they did Romeo for the boys & Juliet for the girls.

Sheba was called "Juliet" for about a week. *rolls eyes*

The last items were another toy & the item "For Your Human".

This is another toy from Huggle Hounds. Hmmm... I'm seeing a theme here. ;-)

This is a Ruff-Tex stuffed squeaker toy made with a 100% natural, non-toxic, flexible, durable textured body. This is made for light to medium chewers. Sheba's out then. She destroys everything. Annabella doesn't destroy her toys, so this may work for her.

The notebook is a soft-cover 240 page lined journal notebook with pictures of doggies on the cover. It's cute. It's practical. I like it. I will use it.

Overall I am pleased once again with the Pet Treater box. I think it comes with a nice variety.

I haven't seen any of the small or medium boxes, so I can only say that I like what I get in the large dog box.

For a special limited time, they have a cat box available! They are thinking about adding cat boxes to their subscription set, and are giving it a trial run. This is not a renewing subsciption, but a one-time purchase. Special Edition Cat Pet Treater Box!

They have a great coupon going on now. One which I used when I first signed up. We received a large pet bed. The cats immediately took claim.

Use code PT-BED during checkout for a FREE DOG BED added to your first box.
