SnackSack March 2016 Subscription Box Review

I purchased Snack Sack on a whim about 4 months ago, and I have to say they have become one of my favorite boxes. I've cancelled most of the others. But not this one! I get a boatload of healthy snacks every month in this box, and am never disappointed.

Let me start off my review by saying I'm reviewing the subscription box from an honest, normal consumer's opinion. I'm not reviewing the individual products in the box. I review the box so that you can decide if this is something you'd like to subscribe to. As for the products, if a product stands out, good or bad, I will make a separate review for that product/brand.

March's box contained 13 snacks:
  • Smart Cookies
  • Mint Honey Patties
  • Cookie Dough Bar
  • Presidential Cookies
  • Savory Tomato Bar
  • Multi-Seed Crackers
  • Kiwa Andean Chips
  • Chocolate Brownie
  • Triple Threat Popcorn
  • Lupini Beans
  • Espresso Bean Bar
  • Protein Packed Trail Mix
  • Strength Nutrition Pouch
Whew. That's a lot! Their info card lists all the items in the box, a small description, and health info.

I've had the Heavenly Organics Mint Honey Patties before, and I LOVE them. My kids didn't like them, but hey, they're kids. They are a bit different than the normal peppermint patties they're used to eating. These are dark chocolate so they aren't as sweet. Plus, it's honey, not refined sugar. Makes a big difference in taste. A better difference in MY opinion.

Brami Beans Snacking Lupini Beans.I have no idea what lupini beans are. The superfood of ancient roman warriors. These come in a vacuum sealed bag. The pouch has 50 calories, 6g of protein, and 6g of fiber.

The Double Chocolate Brownie is from Nature's Bakery.  Cholesterol free, dairy free, 0g trans fat, and kosher. This is a 2oz twin pack.

The Power Up trail mix I've had before as well. It's a trail mix. Nothing special taste-wise. It is a bit healthier, however. This is from Gourmet Nut. It's all-natural, gluten free & vegan. This contains almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, peanuts, raisins, & cherries.

The Cookie Dough Bar is from YummyHealth. It's got 9g protein, 7g sugar, 100mg Omega 3's, an 7g fiber. The bar is 1.41oz, made in the USA and gluten free.

The Kutoa bar is non-GMO, gluten-free, and vegan. It is Chocolate Espresso Bean flavor. That sounds good. It's made with fair trade espresso & chocolate & contains chia & flax, and no refined sugar.

I've have received the Multi-Seed crackers before in a subscription box. I liked them so much, I bought them at Target. They are from Crunchmaster. These are original flavor.  These are good with the garlic spread I got from Decadence Gourmet. Yum!

The Presidential Cookies are from Dick & Jane. A fun, delicious snack with an educational twist. I think this is the cutest idea! The cookies have pictures of presidents stamped in them with their name & what president they were.

I have done a separate review on Mediterra bars. They are soooooo good! One of their savory recipe bars is included; Sundried Tomato & Basil. My husband really like this. A lot. My brain is just programmed to expect sweet when eating a bar.

The Belicious real food in a pouch is the next item in the box. Vegetables, chia, quinoa, lentils, & fruit. This is non-GMO, and vegan. It's best served chilled. I haven;t tried this yet, but the first ingredient is vegetable broth.  Is it like a soup? It looks very healthy, and it's in a convenient 4oz  pouch for taking on the go.

I really wish I liked cheese popcorn. I will hand the Handmade Popcorn by Annie B's over to Mr. SnuggleBunny. I have tried some other items from Annie B', and love 'em.  This is "Triple Treat": Caramel, Cheese, & White.

Next we have Smart Cookies from Bitsy's Brainfood. The world's first fruit & veggie smart cookie. This is Orange Chocolate  Beet. Interesting. These would be great for toddlers!

The Kiwa chips were good. I don't normally eat chips, but I was in the mood for something salty when I was taking photos of this box. Yum!

These are Kiwa Andean Chips by Kiwa. Small farmers harvest varieties of Native Andean potatoes in Equador at 11,000 ft above sea level. They are non-GMO, gluten free, and vegan.
