FitSnack February 2016 Subscription Box Review

FitSnack has become one of my favorite boxes. I get excited when I see that turquoise box sitting in my mailbox. I know there will be some great new healthy snacks to try. I don't always like all of them, but many I do. It's nice to get exposed to new brands that I never would have heard of elsewhere.

For the $18 price tag (plus shipping), it's a good deal. This month came with 8 items, plus a bonus.

  • Lesser Evil Superbites
  • Manitoba Harvest Bar
  • Laughing Giraffe Cookies
  • Munk Pack
  • I Heart Keenwah Puffs
  • Peaceful Fruit Strip
  • Heavenly Organics
  • Lawless Jerky
  • Vitafive Gummy Vitamins (bonus)

Enclosed in the FitSnack boxes is an info card.  The card tells a little about each snack, includes a coupon code if there is one, and website info. I like coupons & coupon codes. But you already know that. I never buy/order anything unless I have a coupon.

It's one of the better info cards out there.  On the back is a small workout, plus some FitSnack tagging info on social media.

The first snack this month are the Jerky & dried fruit.

Lawless Jerky combines traditional & modern creativity to handcraft flavorful, high-protein snacks from 100% grass-fed beef without artificial preservatives.

I haven't tried this yet. I received Aloha Teriyaki flavor. It's 2oz, which is 2 servings. Yeah, right, LOL It has no nitrates/nitrites, and gluten-free. The ingredients are all things I can read and understand.

The Wild Acai & Apple slow-dried 100% organic fruit snack comes from Peaceful Fruits. It's a .25 oz package of fruit leather. It has 35 calories, and has 4 ingredients. It's vegan/paleo, non-GMO, & ethical trade friendly. It's also made with compostable packaging. Peaceful Fruits support sustainable development in the Amazon Rainforest.

Next are 2 bars. Hemp Heart & Heavenly Organics.

Heavenly Organics Mint Chocolate Honey Patties have a 100% dark chocolate shell filled with organic raw honey blended with peppermint. They are heavenly! My chocolate was bloomed, but no biggie, it's been hot/cold.

The Manitoba Harvest Bar has 10g of plant-based protein, 240 calories, 4g fiber, and 8g of sugar. It contains hemp hearts (shelled hemp seeds), and has rosemary extract in it.

I received Lesser Evil Super 4 Baked Bean Bites in Nacho Cheese flavor. I gave these adequate tasting, but just did not like them. They are made with white bean flour, quinoa, lental & chia.

The Laughing Giraffe Cookies on the other hand, we delicious! Mine was Lemon Snakaroon. They are organic, gluten-free, raw vegan, and non-GMO. One just wasn't enough!

The bonus item is Health Without the Hassle Daily Vitamin Pack by Vita Five. This is real cute.... They are custom packs! They put yours or your child's name on the back of each pack & sens a 4-week supply. How cool!  I'm a bit confused with this pack though. There are 6 gummies in it. Serving size is 2. It says there is 1 serving in the pack. Now I'm not a mathematician, but ummm.... that just doesn't add up. But they taste goooooood. Not vitaminy. They have a 90% off your first month coupon.

The I Heart Keenwah Quinoa Puffs is a big bag. You can snack 'em right out of the bag, substitute them for croutons on your salad, or even crush them & use as a bread coating. These have 5g protein, and 0 sugar per serving. They are vegan, non-GMO, and gluten-free. These are made in the USA.

I received two Munk Packs. My daughter likes these, but I just cant get on the 'eating out of a tube' fad like the kids can. Now, if I was going on a hike, these would be a perfect snack to throw in the backpack! Ready to eat oatmeal fruit squeezes. We have Apple Cinnamon, and Raspberry Coconut here. I've received a couple of these in other boxes & have yet to try them. They're full of omega-3, fiber, & energy. They are in a BPA-free pouch.

Also included in the box was some other cards from the companies with products in the box.

Once again, I am very happy with FitSnack. They enclose a nice variety of items each month, all healthy. I don't know about you, but I snack all the time, and I'd rater have something healthy to grab!

I think you'll really like this box if you give it a try. You can cancel anytime, and even give it as a gift. If you order a year, it's only $13.90 (plus shipping) a box! AND you get free bonus items.
