Seeds of the Month Club March 2016 Review

I've been receiving Seeds of the Month from Average Person Gardening for over a year now. I am very pleased with the subscription. For about $3 a month, how can you go wrong?!

My four packs of seeds this month were:
  • Cucumber
  • Basil
  • Lettuce
  • Celery
Each pack is sent to you based on your region, and the time of year.

Utah Celery is a popular slow growing, cool weather vegetable that produces delicious, crisp, long stalks.

Celery contains calcium, iron, and vitamins A, B1, B2, Niacin, and C.

Paris Island COS Lettuce is a popular & unique variety of lettuce that is easy to grow and makes delicious salads. It's groth is vigorous with heads growing upright about 10".

Lettuce contains calcium, iron, vitamins A, B1, B2, Niacin, and C.

Cinnamon Basil is easy to grow & popular. It's an annual that develops into an attractive bushy plant 1-2' tall. Aromatic leaves have a spicy, clover-like flavor popular in tomato dishes, soups, stews, speghetti, fish, poultry, and salads. Leaves may be frozen.

Straight 8 Cucumber are easy to grow, and produce an abundance of tender fruit throughout the summer. They are perfect for slicing into salads. Small young fruits may be used for pickling.

Cucumber is a low calorie salad vegetable with many vitamins & minerals.

This reminds me.... it's time to start my seedlings indoors! I need to find my sun light.

The backs of the packets have the usual information. When & where to plant, a little description about the plant, care, harvesting, and of course planting info like spacing, germination and maturity days.

Seeds last a long time if stored in a dark, dry place. Germination percentage goes down a bit each year, but seeds don't actually go bad. So, if you can't plant your seeds right away, no worries, each packet contains enough seeds to give you a good harvest next year, or even the year after that!

All-in-all, Seeds of the Month club is an awesome subscription. It's innexpensive and you don't have to go to the nursery for seeds in spring!

Have you gotten your spring seeds yet?!

After you join, if you refer your friends (and they use your code when signing up), your subscription is extended, which means more seeds for you! My referral code is (W6S6PDI30Z) if you'd like to use it.
