EggDrop February 2016 Box Review

Egg Drop is such a cute little box! What makes this box different, is it includes 6 full-sized, all licensed, popular items kids will love.

I like the clear 'egg' sticker that seals the box. It's really a nice touch.

The box came in a mailer bag. Both labeled with their EggDrop logo sticker.

It was all packaged very well. The box came stuffed so nothing could shift around. Everything arrived intact & perfect.

The box didn't include an info card. It did come with a note card showing this is the February box, and includes a social media tag.

EggDrop currently ships within the US and Canada.

EggDrop carries two subscriptions, Classic & Premium.

The classic contains one surprise box, delivered monthly. The is the box we reviewed.

The Premium contains one custom box, delivered monthly. The Premium subscription curates your child’s experience through the selection of brands and characters. Premium subscribers will also have access to customized notes, perfect for special occasions or just to say "I love you."

The Classic Box contained 6 items:
  • Minions Slap Bracelet
  • Justice League Chibis 3pk
  • Big Hero 6 Hero Pack
  • Frozen Pocket Pop
  • Shopkins Micro Lite
  • Squinkies Glitter Bands & Squinkies Pack
This box has is geared towards girls & boys.

As a personal suggestion, I'd rather have the option of girls or boys. If I'm going to pay $20 for 6 toys, and I had a boy, 3 of these items would go unused. As the 'collector' I am (we don't use the word hoarder), I'd keep the girl items for future friend's birthdays. However, I'd feel like I didn't get my $20 worth.

The first items are the Justice League & Big Hero 6 toys. They are small items reminiscent of stocking stuffers.

The Justice League contains 3 little characters (like Squinkies for boys), and are for ages 6+.

The Big Hero 6 pack contains a unique dog tag & a sheet of stickers. The age on this is also 6+

Next is the Squinkies pack. This is a cool little pack. It contains 3 Squinkies in their ball cases, and 16 glitter bands. These are for ages 4+.

My daughter promptly "squee'd" and asked if she could have them.

Pops & Pocket Pops have been very popular lately. Adults & kids alike collect them. I'm beginning to like them myself.

This one is Anna from Frozen. I've never seen the movie, but I know it's still popular after some time. It's a cute little Pop, and if you're a collector, or just a movie fan, it's a good inclusion.

The Minions slap bracelet is a movie exclusive. It's for ages 4+, but I can see older kids, particularly boys, wearing this.

The last item in the box is Shopkins Micro Lite. You squeeze this & it lights up. It contains 2 non-replaceable batteries.

Shopkins are very popular right now. They're cute. This is 'series 1', and is for ages 3+

All-in-all I like the concept of the surprise box. It's cute, and well curated.

The value of this box is over $32. I went to Amazon & found the cheapest/sale prices for each of these toys. This does not take into account shipping, nor time for curation. The value is definitely there.

To make subscribing a little less painful, EggDrop has a special..... "Right now order an annual subscription and get 2 months free. Plus a little something special from the folks at EggDrop!"

If you'd like to surprise your kids every month, and just don't have the time or inclination to shop around for the most popular stuff, this box is for you.
