Ozone Layer Deodorant prevents and eliminates odor naturally by creating an oxygen rich environment where odor causing bacteria cannot survive. It works by delivering the oxidizing power of oxygen through skin moisturizing 100% naturally refined shea butter and beeswax.

The beauty of Ozone Layer Deodorant is in its simplicity. The result is the only all natural deodorant that is guaranteed to work.

Three ingredients comprise the entirety of Ozone Layer Deodorant. Shea butter, Beeswax, and Oxygen, the active key ingredient in Ozone Layer Deodorant.

Ozone Layer products are gluten free, sulfate free, phthalate free, paraben free, free of artificial colors and skin safe. All the deodorant containers are BPA free plastics that are 100% recyclable polypropylene. And they only use 100% Made from Recycled material in shipping and packaging materials.

We had the pleasure of trying two of their scents. Coconut & Lavender.

I have to admit, at first I didn't like the smell of it. It was strong & bothering me all day. Then I realized that I was using waaaaay too much!  This little bottle should last you a five months or more. I was slathering it on like other deodorants. You don't do that. You lightly apply 1-3 full strokes in each arm pit. That's it. You won't smell the scent after a few minutes. Not that it's a bad scent. It's rather nice.

Even though I love coconut, I have to say I liked the lavender scent better. I want to try the Eucalyptus + Mint.

After a day of working inside on the computer, and doing my homesteading chores, I have to say that my sweat didn't stink!

Now let me explain a little about deodorants & anti-antiperspirants. There is a difference.

Most of those under-arm bottles in the store are anti-antiperspirant/deodorants. Plain deodorants are not as prevalent as they once were, and are hard to find. Anti-antiperspirants block your pores from sweating. This is what the aluminum is used for. Your body is meant to sweat. Sweating is not a bad thing (although it can feel icky). You should not be blocking your pores from doing something it's naturally meant to do.

And believe it or not, sweat is not what stinks! It is bacteria. I stopped using anti-antiperspirants when a number of friends of mine developed breast cancer. I started using lemon juice to kill the bacteria, and deodorant for later when I got grimy from working.  It did an OK job, but it was a hassle. Really, deodorants just cover up the stink. But Ozone Layer uses oxidation to keep the bacteria from thriving in the first place. Ingenious!

I really like Ozone. I need to reapply a light touch in the late afternoon sometimes, but that's because I'm outside mending fences, or building a duck house, and I sweat a LOT.

They included  card that described their philosophy, and how to apply. Yeah, I didn't read it before I tested it. Bad me.

If you couldn’t tell already, this deodorant is different. It's a bit like skin lotion due to the shea butter & beeswax.
